It was folded to Chris Tryba on the button and he moved all in for 64,000 more. It was folded back to Rheem, and he started running the numbers. He eventually flashed Tryba the J10 to show the east coast poker pro that it was a tough spot. Rheem eventually mucked it, and Tryba said he was happy to have a fold. Rheem still had heaps while Tryba was up to around 130,000. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba, Chino Rheem Chris Tryba Settling In For Deep RunJul 20, '17

Player Tags: Christopher Tryba, Paul Hoefer Chris Tryba Doubles AgainJul 21, '17 Chris Tryba was all in for about 150,000 with the AJ and was up against Paul Volpe’s 2-2. Tryba was fond of the flop, as it came A-J-K. Volpe said as the cards were coming out, “You can’t ever lose an all in?” The turn and river didn’t change anything and Tryba had some more breathing room, while Volpe was left even shorter with just a few hundred thousand in chips. Both players have been grinding below average stacks on day 4. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba, Paul Volpe |

Flight 1B: Ends With 37 Players, 98 Returning for Day 2Feb 07, '15 Flight 1B of day 1 has come to a close and only 36 players bagged up chips. They will combine with the 62 players from flight 1A tomorrow at 12 pm EST. When chips were bagged for the night, Todd Mitchell picked up the overall chiplead with 285,300. Bart Guthie and Konstantinos Katkakis were not far behind with 235,400 and 213,500. World Series of Poker bracelet winner Chris Tryba might be a little hungrier for the win than the rest of the field as he came in second in this very event last year. Greg Raymer, the 2004 WSOP main event champion and four-time Heartland Poker Tour champion, has the chance to add a CPPT title to his lengthy resume. But before either man can take home the trophy, they will need to last through another day and a field that also includes 2006 World Poker Tour Foxwoods Poker Open winner Victor Ramdin, David Stefanski, Je Wook Oh, Roland Israelashvili, Tom Dobrilovic and Stanley Lee. Chip counts heading into day 2:

Player Tags: Christopher Tryba Updates From Level 8Feb 07, '15 Chris Tryba was eliminated, but we expect to see him in flight 2 at 5 pm. Tryba was all-in pre-flop for his last 6,000 from the button and the big blind, under the gun and the hijack all called. The flop was A73 and the big blind and under the gun checked. The hijack announced he was all-in and the big blind and under the gun released their cards. Tryba showed KQ and the hijack showed A3. The board ran out 85 and Tryba left the table. Flight 2 of day 1 is about to begin. Players will begin with blinds at 25-50 and will play 12 40-minute levels. The remaining players from both flights today will return tomorrow. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba Updates from Level 6Feb 07, '15 Shortly before the beginning of Level 6 Marsel Backa was eliminated by Je Wook Oh. With two spades on the flop, Backa was all in with two suited face cards. Oh called with two black tens and the two players waited see the following cards. “I’ve got two overs and a draw,” Backa said, but he failed to pair his over cards or pick up the spades needed to make a flush as the board ran out. After a quick trip around the room we noticed Paul Snead in the field. Snead is most easily remembered for the bad beat he took at the hands of Scott Montgomery extremely deep in the 2008 main event – a beat made even worse by the fact he was at a feature table and had the clock called on him, meaning the moment of his 21st place elimination would be seen and re-watched thousands of times. Snead took a break from poker after that, but told PokerNews back in 2013 he would be returning to poker full time within the next few years. Event 5 winner Teddy Geddes has taken his seat somewhat late in the day in flight 1. Geddes recently topped a field of 216 entrants to win $11,048 in the $250 no-limit hold’em $25,000 guarantee. Chris Tryba is wondering where Ronnie Pease is at. For those who followed along last year, Pease and Tryba played an incredibly long heads-up match that ended with an even chop for the money with the trophy going to Pease.
Player Tags: Paul Snead, Christopher Tryba, Ron Pease, Je Wook Oh, Linsford Geddes, Marsel Backa Tryba Check Raise Gets ThroughFeb 07, '15 Tom Dobrilovic opened to 600 from under the gun and got three callers. The flop brought the K77 and the player in the small blind checked. From the big blind Chris Tryba checked and Dobrilovic checked as well. The player on the button bet 625 and the small blind called. When it got back to Tryba he opted to raise to 1,725. It folded around and Tryba took down a nice little pot on the flop. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba Updates from Level 5Feb 07, '15 Chris Tryba, Tom Dobrilovic and Bart Dowling have discussed walking 26 miles. Tryba said he could not walk 26 miles all at once right now, but was sure if he trained for it, he could do it in about three months from now. Dobrilovic did not seem to think he would be up for a 26 mile walk at this time either, however Dowling seemed more convinced it could happen. “Even if you are walking slow, like 22-25 minutes a mile. That would be slow,” Dowling said, seeming to imply if his tablemates took their time, the 26 miles would be doable. We aren’t sure if Dowling was attempting to place a wager on this task, but it appears that if he was, Tryba and Dobrilovic were not biting. Over on the other side of the tournament area, Greg Raymer was eliminated but quickly re-entered. Elsewhere, former Card Player Poker Tour Foxwoods final tablist Brad St. Vincent scooped up a decent sized pot by moving all-in on the river. With the board reading J94 the small blind bet 500. St. Vincent called from the big blind and the two saw the 6 on the turn. The small blind checked and St. Vincent fired out 1,500. The small blind called and the dealer opened the 7 on the river. The small blind bet 2,500 but St. Vincent moved all-in. The shove was enough to force his opponent out of the way and St. Vincent scooped the pot. St. Vincent flashed the 2 as he stacked up his chips. Player Tags: Greg Raymer, Christopher Tryba, Bartley Dowling, Bradley St. Vincent, Tom Dobrilovic Tryba Flops Big Versus DobrilovicFeb 07, '15 With a board of KKJ5Q Tom Dobrilovic bet an unknown amount and Chris Tryba raised to 3,675. Dobrilovic quickly announced a call and tabled the K10. His hand was second best, with Tryba flipping up the KJ for a flopped full house. Tryba raked in the pot to rebuild his stack, which apparently had already taken a hit versus an opponent’s full house earlier in the day. He now sits with around 21,000. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba, Tom Dobrilovic Back-to-Back???Feb 07, '15 This is second time the Card Player Poker Tour has stopped at Foxwoods but we know for sure we will not be seeing a back-to-back champion… technically. Ronnie Pease, who bested Chris Tryba heads-up for the trophy last year in an even chop for the money, informed us the climate was too agreeable in Mexico where he is currently residing to make the trek to the snowy corners of Connecticut. However, Tryba had no qualms about the icy weather and is back in the field today looking to take home the trophy.
Player Tags: Christopher Tryba, Ron Pease Chris Tryba EliminatedFeb 08, '15 We missed the action but we looked over from another table in time to see his Chris Tryba getting up from his chair and wishing his tablemates well in the rest of the tournament. Tryba was the runner-up in this event last year, chopping heads-up against eventual champ Ron Pease. He had his sights set on finishing one better this year, but fell short. He hit the rail in approximately 40th place, just a few spots from the money.
Player Tags: Christopher Tryba A few Level 13 UpdatesFeb 08, '15 Chris Tryba and Greg Raymer happened to draw the same table today. With both being talkative players, we are sure to hear lots of colorful and interesting stories throughout the day. At table 4: Tryba raised to 3,800 from middle position and James Campbell called from the hijack seat. The two saw a flop of Q108 and both checked. The turn was the 6 and both players checked again. The river was the K and Tryab check-folded to Campbell’s 11,100 bet. Siddart Dutta has been eliminated from the tournament. At table 6: Mathew Wantman completed from the small blind and Dave Stefanski raised from the big blind. Wantman folded and Stefanski took in a small pot. The tournament clock currently reads 91 players, meaning we have lost seven players in just over 30 minutes of play. Player Tags: Greg Raymer, Christopher Tryba, James Campbell, David Stefanski |

Tryba Falls, Solomon SoarsAug 01, '14 Chris Tryba has been eliminated from play for the second time today. On his final hand, Tryba and Paul Solomon looked down at a board of 2K67. Tryba announced an all-in bet for his last 8,225. Solomon called and Tryba rolled his hand over, immediately gathering his belongings. Tryba: 88 Tryba’s pair of eights were indeed behind Solomon’s pair of kings. The river bricked out for Tryba and he made a quick exit from the tournament area. Solomon stacked the chips and now has about 75,100 to his name. Huge Lead For Ronnie Pease After Day 1AFeb 14, '14 The first starting day of the Foxwoods Card Player Poker Tour Main Event drew a crowd of 63 players, but because of re-entries there were a total of 79 buy ins entered into the prize pool. The chip leader after 11 levels was Ronnie Pease who closed out the day with an astonishing 336,800-chip stack as just 22 players head into the second day of play on Sunday. The weather on Thursday heavily influenced players making it to Foxwoods early and that might’ve hurt the numbers on Day 1a a little bit. The start of the day was quiet with just 23 but that quickly changed as many locals decided to give it a shot. Among the players in Fridays’ field we spotted WSOP bracelet winner Chris Tryba won won the $2,500 Mixed Hold’em event in 2012. Tryba did not have a pleasant day and halfway through he was knocked out. Tryba is likely to be back for more tomorrow as there is always the option to re-enter. Micheal Esposito, 2012 WSOP Main Event seventh place finisher, also showed up and had huge swings throughout the day. In a giant pot Esposito tried to knock out two players holding the nut flush draw against the two pair of both of his opponents. Esposito did not hit and was left with just three big blinds. He did managed to run this back up but ultimately he was knocked out in the final level. Chip leader Ron Pease had an outstanding day and made it all the way up to 265,000 chips before the last level of play. In the last level of the day Pease turned on the afterburner and closed out with the 336,800. He will be one of the favorites going into Day 2. Day 1B of this tournament kicks off at 11:00am local time as we’re doing another 11 levels. With the current weather warning in place we’re hoping that all players will make it safely to the Foxwoods Resort Casino tomorrow. Player Tags: Michael Esposito, Christopher Tryba Chris Tryba Outed by KingsFeb 14, '14 Chris Tryba has been eliminated from the tournament by the pocket Kings of Michael Ezzaro. Tryba raised to 875 from middle position and Ezzaro re-raised to 2,500 from the hijack seat. Karen Lavin called from the button and action rested back on Tryba. After a few moments Tryab moved all in for about 10,000 and Ezzaro snap-called. Lavin tossed her hand away and the cards were tabled. Tryba held QJ to Ezzaro’s KK. The board ran out J10857 and Tryba made his exit. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba Thai Ha Versus Chris TrybraFeb 14, '14 Thai Ha has taken a few of Chris Tryba’s chips. Tryba raised to 225 from under the gun +1 and Karen Lavin called from the cutoff. Thai Ha called from the big blind and the three saw a flop of 843. Ha checked, Tryba bet 575 and Lavin released her cards. Action rested back on Ha, who called, and the two men saw the K on the turn. Ha check-called Tryba’s 1,300 bet and the 6 opened on the river. Both players checked and Ha showed pocket sevens. Tryba nodded that Ha’s hand was good and mucked his cards. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba Was Tryba Bluffing?Feb 14, '14 Chris Tryba has been active here on Day 1A and we just saw him rake in a nice pot. The action started with a limper and two players decided to invest 100 chips as well. The action was now on Thai Ha who put in a raise to 500 from the cutoff. Sung Kim called from the button and Michael Esposito folded from the small blind. Tryba was next to act from the big blind and he put in a three-bet to 1,550. The three limpers folded and both Ha and Kim called creating a three-way pot. The flop brought out KJ7 and Tryba continued with a 2,850-chip bet. Both Ha and Kim folded and Tryba raked in this pot. “You bluff me?” Ha asked. Tryba smiled and said, “I just might.” “What if I told you I had eight-four off suit?” Tryba added. “Then that was a good play,” Ha said with a smile, but Tryba did not show his cards as he mucked and raked in this pot. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba Tryba in The BuildingFeb 14, '14 There are not a lot of things certain in life, but when there’s a poker tournament on the East Coast you can count on WSOP bracelet winner Chris Tryba to show up. In the summer of 2012 Tryba had the biggest victory of his career when he took down the $2,500 Mixed Hold’em event. Tryba beat out a stacked final table in Las Vegas, which included WSOP bracelet winner Erik Cajelais, Salman Behbehani, Joep van den Bijgaart and Belgian two-time bracelet winner Michael Gathy. Phil Ivey also came close to winning another bracelet, but he fell short in eight place that day. Tryba has had tons of results on the East Coast and he’s looking to add some more to it here at Foxwoods this weekend. Player Tags: Christopher Tryba The Legend of Frankie FlowersFeb 15, '14

Player Tags: Christopher Tryba Ronnie Pease Leads Final 13Feb 16, '14 After 11 long levels there are 13 players remaining and Ronnie Pease leads the way with a huge 1,556,000-chip stack. The remaining players are all guaranteed to make at least $6,678 but everyone is eying the $113,435-first place prize. The action on Day 2 was high-paces and very interesting as we saw many players run up big stacks, but many others failed to capitalize on their chip positions. Among the players that were knocked out today we saw Anthony Zinno, Vinny Pahuja and Mark Esposito. Chris Tryba (438,000) is among the players returning tomorrow and he’s looking to add another big victory to his resume after winning a WSOP bracelet back in 2012. Play will resume tomorrow at 12:00 Noon ET, so make sure to tune back into CardPlayer.com as we bring you all the live updates and a live stream of the action here at Foxwoods! Chip Counts
