Bueno made the call and the 3 fell on the turn. Both players checked and the river fell 6. Beuno bet 16,500 and seat 2 called after thinking for a moment. Bueno flipped over A3 and seat 2 mucked pocket jacks face up in annoyance. Player Tags: Patrick Bueno Patrick Bueno Eliminated in 17th Place (€26,000)Sep 08, '09 Patrick Bueno is all in for 151,000 and Julien Nuijten calls flipping over A-K. Bueno sadly shows J-7 and is put out of his misery when the board comes K 10 4 Q 7. He started the day as one of the chip leaders but, as poker goes, is now out. He goes home in 17th place for €26,000. Player Tags: Patrick Bueno Bad Day for BuenoSep 08, '09 Patrick Bueno started the day among chip leaders but hand after hand has proven to be a disaster for the Frenchman. The young German player to his right, Julien Nuijten, has made a comeback largely through Bueno, and appears to be getting more and more dangerous as he builds his stack. Now in the latest hand Bueno’s stack has been absolutely slaughtered by Finn Toni Ojala: Ojala is all in for 294,000 and Bueno calls for more than half of his stack. Bueno: A Q The tension mounts as Bueno moves ahead on the flop: K Q 5. The turn is the 2 but amazingly Ojala spikes a nine on the river and doubles up. Bueno is now down to 187,000. Jennifer Tilly's Aces HoldJul 14, '08 Jon Aguiar wasn't the only one with the fortune to double up late on day 2. Moments after the Aguiar-Bueno clash, Jennifer Tilly was all-in with pocket aces against the pocket kings of serial min-casher Nikolay Evdakov. The board brought no salvation for Evdakov and he walked away from the Bellagio Cup IV with nothing, which should not faze him too much, as technically, $0 is the minimum amount you can cash for). Eliminations: Patrick Bueno (8th Place) Big Hands and Storylines: Patrick Bueno Chop To Stay Alive - Omaha 8/ob Patrick Bueno raised to 100,000 and Lyle Berman made it 150,000. Bueno moved all in for his last few chips and Berman made the call. Bueno showed AAK7 and Berman held A228. The flop came 843 and Berman had flopped the nut-low. He needed a five or an eight to eliminate Bueno, but the turn and river came J10 and Bueno's Aces held up for the high.
With the betting limits at 50,000 - 100,000 and rising, each and every ante, completion and bet is significant. A player can bust in any hand, and going with a draw that doesn't get there might get a player into trouble.
After Lyle Berman brought it in with a king, Erick Lindgren called and Patrick Bueno completed. Lindgren raised and Bueno called all in. After seven cards were thrown their way, Lindgren ended up making an eight-low and Bueno could only produce trip fours. Bueno was eliminated in eighth place and earned $230,880 for his five-day effort.
After winning three straight Razz hands, Michael DeMichele has chipped himself up from the short stack to nearly 2 million in chips.
