Good Call By Uzan
Jul 15, '13
Patrick Uzan and Mike Hack just played a big pot, which was won by the former after making a tough call.
The board read 10J52 when Uzan bet 5,600 and Govert Metaal called. Hack raised from late position to 15,000 and only Uzan called.
On the river the 10 hit and Uzan checked to Hack who bet 20,000. Uzan tanked for a long time, but in the end he decided that folding was not an option.
“Good call,” Hack said as he sheepishly turned over his AK.
Uzan showed QJ and raked in this pot to boost his stack up to 180,000 chips. Hack still has more as he’s sitting on 186,000.

Masa Kagawa raised to 1,700 and John Holley decided to call. Mike Hack was seated on the button and he decided to three-bet to 6,400.
Both Kagawa and Holley made the call.
The flop brought KKK after which the action was checked to Hack.
Hack bet 6,000 and that was reason enough for Kagawa to three-bet to 19,000. Holley and Hack folded quickly and Kagawa took down this big pot without showdown.
Kagawa is up to 92,000, Hack has 95,000 and Holley still leads this table with 140,000 chips.

Patrick Uzan raised to 4,800 from the hijack, Terry Fleischer reraised to 15,000 from the cutoff and after a few moments of thought, Bernard Guigon called all in from the small blind for his last 8,600.
The action passed to Mike Hack, who deliberated for about 30 seconds before calling the 15,000 raise from the big blind. Uzan folded and a side pot was formed, with heads up action between Hack and Fleischer.
The flop came down 7 7 4 and Fleischer led at the pot for 50,000. Hack raised to 115,000 and Fleischer went into the tank. He asked Hack how much he had behind and the dealer informed him that including the raise and the remainder of his stack, it would be about 200,000.
Seeing he had Hack covered, Fleischer moved all in and Hack called for a total of 199,900. Fleischer turned over A K for a flush draw and Hack showed 8 7 for flopped trips. Guigon, an after thought by this point, revealed J J.
The turn and river fell Q K and Hack more than tripled up to 443,000 in chips. Fleischer was left with about 60,000 and it took more than a minute for a stunned Guigon to get up from the table.
