From under the gun John Dollinger raised to 4,600. He received calls from the player on his direct left and the hijack. The player in the big blind called all-in for slightly less.

The flop came down 544 and Dollinger bet 7,700. Everyone else in the side pot folded and he showed his 99. he was in great shape against the big blind’s Q5. The turn was the K and the river the 6 and Dollinger’s pocket nines were good enough to earn him the pot. With that the player in the big blind was eliminated while Dollinger chipped up to just shy of 100,000.

Lion Gerlin Wins Big Pot From John Dollinger

Harvey Vandeven raised to 3,200 in early position and was called by Lion Gerlin in the small blind and John Dollinger in the big blind. The flop came down KK7 and all three players checked.

The turn was the 8 and Gerlin checked. Dollinger bet 2,600 and Vandeven folded. Gerlin called and the river was the 2.

This time, Gerlin led out for 5,100. Dollinger then raised to 23,000 and Gerlin wasted no time before calling. Dollinger announced that he had ace high, but Gerlin still didn’t turn over his cards.

Dollinger got the hint and rolled over A4 for the complete bluff, and Gerlin showed K9 for flopped trips. Gerlin now sits with 85,000 and Dollinger takes a hit down to just 35,000.

The big blind checked, he bet 6,500 and the player behind him then moved all-in for 44,000. Dollinger made the call after some time in the tank and finds out that he was indeed ahead of his opponents pocket sevens. That is until a seven spiked the turn. With that Dollinger, who was one of the chip leaders for much of day 1B, took a severe hit.
