Stephen Chidwick – 266,000 Notable Eliminations: Andy Black Big Hands: Bloch Tops Musso Vincent Musso raised to 6,000 and Andy Bloch made the call. Musso stood pat and Bloch took one. After the draw, Musso checked and called an 11,000 chip bet from Bloch. Musso tabled the 8-7-5-3-2, but Bloch made an 8-6-5-3-2 and took the pot to climb to 145,000 in chips. Mike Wattel Eliminated Mike Wattel pushed all in for 15,000 from under-the-gun. Eric Kesselman called from the button, and Sirous Jamshidi came along from the big blind for the rest of his chips. Jamshidi and Wattel each drew one and Kesselman stood pat. Wattel couldn’t make anything better than a king-low and Kesselman stood pat with a 10-8-5-3-2. Jamshidi improved to a 9-7-6-5-4 and took just about the whole pot. Jamshidi is up to 48,000 and Kesselman is at 155,000 after the elimination of Wattel. Dwan Crippled, But Doubles Soon After John Monnette opened to 5,400 from the cutoff and Tom Dwan, who had Monette covered, moved all-in. Monette made the call and drew one with his 8-4-3-2, while Dwan stood pat with his 9-7-5-3-2. Monette found a 7 to stay a live and double to 105,000 and Dwan was down to 11,000. The following hand, Dwan moved all-in from the small blind and Peter Gould called. Dwan stood pat with a Q-J-6-4-2 and Gould drew one and ended up pairing his 9 with his 9-7-4-3, doubling Dwan up to 28,000. Gould slipped to 75,000. Farzad Bonyadi Eliminated Farzad Bonyadi moved all-in under-the-gun and was called by Doug Booth from the button. Booth stood pat and showed the 10-8-6-4-3 and Bonyadi drew one to his 7-4-3-2. Unfortunately for the former bracelet winner, he drew a K and was sent home. Negreanu Doubles Up Daniel Negreanu was crippled by Joe Cassidy earlier in the level and moved all-in for his last 10,600 before the draw and was called by Cassidy. Both players drew one. Negreanu was drawing with his 7-6-4-3 and was Cassidy was drawing 8-7-6-4. Negreanu caught a Q but Cassidy paired his eight and Negreanu doubled up to 25,000 and Cassidy is down to 130,000. Black Eliminated by Baker We caught up with the hand at showdown, with Andy Black all-in against David Baker. Sirous Jamshidi – 134,000 Card Player Chip Counts: Jennifer Harman — 75,000 Notable Eliminations: Hasan Habib Player’s Twitter Accounts: Barry Shulman Big Hands: Seed Chops To Stay Alive Again Huck Seed had the last of his chips in the middle again on seventh street, this time against the player in seat 2. Seat 2 thought for a bit before finally calling. Seed chopped last time with the low end of the hand. This time, he tabled JJ44(JKK) for jacks-full. Seat 2 tabled an 8-7 low for the other half of the pot and Seed was sticking around some more with his short stack of 4,800. Schulman Scoops With Diamonds Nick Schulman bet 5,000 after seventh street was dealt and the player in seat 5 made the call. Sirous Jamshidi was also in the hand but mucked after the bet. Schulman announced he had a flush, showing (933)A6210. Seat 5 shook his head and then threw his hand in the muck. Schulman scooped a nice pot and was around 60,000. Hellmuth Bests Hansen Phil Hellmuth led out with 2,500 on fourth street and Gus Hansen made the call. Hellmuth led out for 5,000 on fifth street and Hansen tagged along again. It was the same story on sixth and Hellmuth fired another 5,000 on seventh showing A778. Hansen released his hand, KJ32, relatively quickly and surrendered the pot to Hellmuth. Hellmuth was at 47,000 after the win while Hansen was at 68,000. Habib, Lederer Eliminated We did not catch the two players boards, but Hasan Habib was eliminated by Dario Minieri halfway through level 11. Minieri was at 57,000 At another table, Howard Lederer was ousted by Richard Ashby, who was at 74,000 after the elimination. Gus Takes Pot From Bach Entering the action on 5th street, David Bach beet and was called by Gus Hansen. Hansen continued calling Bach on 6th and 7th streets, and they showed their hands: Hansen: (86)-5923-(4) Hansen showed a straight and the best low hand to scoop the entire pot. Hansen had 80,000 after the hand, while Bach fell to around 52,000. Barry Shulman Bets Out Chip Chip Jett got the ball rolling for 500 showing the 8 and Barry Shulman made it 1500, showing the 5. Jett landed the K and check-called Shulman’s bet on the 10. When Shulman got the 5 on 5th street to give him a visible pair, he bet and Jett immediately folded. Shulman had around 42,000 after the hand. Hellmuth Folds, But Not Quietly Phil Hellmuth bet 1,500 on fourth street and the player in seat 6 made the call. David Bach then raised to 3,000 and Hellmuth raised to 4,500. Seat 6 folded and Bach put another raise in to 6,000. “How much do you want to put in?” Hellmuth said. “Alright I’ll raise you one more.” Hellmuth made it 7,500 and Bach called. Bach then led on fifth and sixth street and Hellmuth tagged along both times. Bach put in another bet of 3,000 on seventh, his board showing 64510. Jamshidi Takes Chip Lead Entering the action on 5th street, Ron Ware checked to Simon Kearney who bet and was called by Sirous Jamshidi and Ware. Jeff Lisandro – 131,000 Card Player Chip Counts: Matt Matros — 30,000 Notable Eliminations: Jamie Gold Big Hands Lee Watkinson vs. Scotty Nguyen The player in seat 2 raises to 600 before the flop, Scotty Nguyen reraises to 1,800 from late position, Lee Watkinson calls from the button as does the original raisesr. The flop comes A63, Nguyen bets 2,000, Watkinson calls and seat 2 folds. The turn is the 5, and this time both players check. The river is the 6, Nguyen bets 2,000 and Watkinson calls. Nguyen turns over JJ while Watkinson shows QQ. Watkinson rakes the pot, building his stack up to 72,000 while Nguyen falls down to 50,000 this hand. Lisandro Adds To His Lead The player in the small blind completes the bet and Jeff Lisandro checks his option from the big blind. The flop comes AJ8, Lisandro bets 600 and the small blind calls. The turn is the 8, and both players check around. The river is the J, and this time the small blind leads out for 1,750. Lisandro raises to 5,750 and the small blind calls. The small blind turned over A8 for a full house on the turn, but Lisandro turns over J5 for a better full house on the river. Lisandro rakes the pot, adding to his lead with 132,000 in chips after this hand. Howard Lederer Saves Money on River On a board of 4228, Howard Lederer check-called a bet of 2,200 by a player on the button. The 8 fell on the river, putting two pair on board and Lederer once again checked. His opponent went into the tank before finally exposing pocket jacks. Lederer flashed his pocket tens and saved money when the board doubled paired on the end. Lederer is at just 12,0775. Sirous Jamshidi Eliminated On a flop of 1094, Sirous Jamshedi gets it all in against one opponent. Jamshidi: 109 Jamshidi gets it in good after flopping top two pair, and the turn is the 5. The river is the 4, pairing the board and giving his opponent aces up. Sirous Jamshidi is eliminated from the tournament. Eric Liu Loses Small Pot On a flop of 874, Eric Liu bet 1,100 from the button and a player in early position made the call. The 9 hit the turn and action was checked to Liu again. Liu fired out a bet of 3,500 and was quickly called by his opponent. The 2 fell on the river and the player once again checked to Liu. The turn and river came 2K and Mueller doubled up to just under 1 million in chips. Roupe was left with just 40,000 in chips.

Big Hands and Story Lines: Greg "FBT" Mueller Takes Charge Right out of the gate, Greg Mueller came out firing. With each player starting with 50 big blinds, stealing became a priority in the first round and Mueller seemed determine to get his fair share. He won 5 out of the first 10 hands without too much trouble, and then picked up even more chips the next few hands with big reraises. Mueller doesn't seem afraid to go out in sixth, but as a result, he's picked up a nice lead on the rest of the field. Sirous Jamshidi Fires Back Nobody wants to go out first, and everyone but Mueller is playing extra cautiously. So cautiously, in fact, that there wasn't a single confrontation until about 30 hands in, when Sirous Jamshidi finally had enough and moved all in. Mueller decided not to go with it and for now, Jamshidi keeps some distance between himself and the felt.
As the level came to an end, Leo Wolpert won four pots out of five to vault himself near the top of the leaderboard. At this point, We were still awaiting our first real clash of the final table.
