Kyle Cartwright Tries to Bluff-Catch, Loses Sizable PotNov 12, '21 On the turn, with the board reading 7426, World Series of Poker bracelet winner and eight-time WSOP Circuit ring winner Kyle Cartwright bet about 12,000 from under the gun and the player on the button called. There was about 40,000 in the pot heading to the A river and Cartwright checked. His opponent on the button thought for a few moments before moving all in for about 33,500, which sent Cartwright into the tank for several minutes. Cartwright appeared to cut out chips to call and then took stock of what would be left. He shuffled chips for a little while longer before pushing chips into the middle. The button showed 66 and Cartwright sent his hand into the muck. Since it was an all in pot and technically both hands were supposed to be tabled, the player in the small blind reached into the muck and grabbed Cartwright’s cards to expose 33. While he lost the pot, Cartwright’s stack is still well above-average. Kyle Cartwright – 140,000 Player Tags: Kyle Cartwright Trio of Double Ups On The BubbleNov 13, '21 There were all ins and calls on three separate tables during one of the first few hands on the bubble. Adrian Mateos committed about 150,000 preflop on the button, which was all but a single 5,000 denomination chip, against Mike Dentale in middle position. The last chip was put in on a flop of 764. Dentale showed QJ and needed runners against Mateos’ KK. The turn and river were no help to Dentale and Mateos doubled up. On another table, Kyle Cartwright raised from middle position and the player in the cutoff moved all in for 190,000. Action folded back to Cartwright who called. Cartwright was in the lead with KK against his opponent’s AK, but an ace came on the flop to put a dagger in Cartwright’s dream of bursting the bubble. On the third table, Joe Serock raised from middle position and the player in the small blind went all in for 225,000. Serock called. It was a race with his JJ up against the small blind’s AK, but once again an ace came on the flop to send the pot to the small blind and continue bubble play.
