Arthur Morris Eliminates Sebastian Tejada
Aug 02, '13
Arthur Morris eliminated Sebastian Tejada on the second to last hand of the night when he turned a full house, Queens full of Twos, to best Tejada’s pocket Kings.
Tejada raised to 8,000 from under the gun+1 and Morris three-bet to 19,500 from the cutoff. Tejada four-bet to 39,500 and Morris asked for a count. Tejada told him he had about 109,000 left behind and Morris called the bet.
The flop was 1022. Tejada checked, Morris announced he was all in and Tejada snap-called. The hands were tabled with Morris opening up QQ and Tejada showed KK.
The table let out a collective gasp when the dealer opened the Q on the turn. The A fell on the river and Tejada made his exit.
“Nice hand,” Tejada said quietly as he collected his things.
A player from the satellite section yelled, “Morris what was that hand, did you have the Kings?”
“No, I had the Queens and I luck boxed,” Morris replied.
“I’m usually on the other end of that,” Morris said to his table later as he stacked up to 615,000.

Barry Shulman Eliminated By Sebastian Tejada
Aug 02, '13
We walked over to see that Barry Shulman had been eliminated and the players at the table were kind enough to fill us in on the action.
Shulman raised, the player on his left three-bet to 1,100 and Sebastian Tejada four-bet to 2,7000. Shulman then moved all in for nearly 8,000 and the player on his left moved all in as well.
Tejada called all in for more than Shulman and turned over pocket kings. They were well ahead of Shulman’s pocket sevens and the other player’s pocket tens. The flop brought a seven, but it also brought a king.
Tejada won the pot, increasing his stack to about 30,000. Shulman was eliminated and the other player was left short.
NOTE: Shulman has already purchased a re-buy into the tournament and was accidentally seated in his exact same seat before being moved to a new table.
