John Holley raised to 400 from early position and Kelly Joe Andrews three-bet to 1,100 from the hijack. Holley moved all in for about 12,000 and Andrews quickly called.

It was a race for Holley’s tournament life with his AQ up against Andrews’ 99. The board ran out 77325 and Andrews’ pair holds up to eliminate Holley in the second level of the day.

Richard Treadwell Takes From John Holley

John Holley limped in from the hijack and Tom Flowers limped behind from the cutoff. Richard Treadwell was in the small blind and raised to 450. The big blind folded and both of the limpers called.

The flop was A52 and Treadwell bet 600. Holley called and Flowers quickly folded. The turn was the A and Treadwell continued to bet, this time for 1,700. Holley took a few seconds and then called.

The river was the 7 and Treadwell fired 3,000 into the middle and Holley released his hand.

Little Drops Some

Jonathan Little is still chip leader with 335,000 but he just lost a sizable pot to John Holley.

The board read 694K and the action was checked to Little who fired out 7,500. One player folded after which Holley check-raised to 20,300. The player to Holley’s left folded and Little made the call.

On the river the 5 hit and Holley bet 33,000. Little took his time and eventually he decided to make the call.

Holley tabled K9 and that was enough to take the pot down. Little immediately directed his attention to his notepad and wrote down a bunch of notes on this hand.

The Three Kings

Masa Kagawa raised to 1,700 and John Holley decided to call. Mike Hack was seated on the button and he decided to three-bet to 6,400.

Both Kagawa and Holley made the call.

The flop brought KKK after which the action was checked to Hack.

Hack bet 6,000 and that was reason enough for Kagawa to three-bet to 19,000. Holley and Hack folded quickly and Kagawa took down this big pot without showdown.

Kagawa is up to 92,000, Hack has 95,000 and Holley still leads this table with 140,000 chips.

The turn fell 6 and Holley moved all in for 1.5 million. Ott quickly called and turned over 98 for a turned straight. Holley held K5 and after the river delivered the 7 he was eliminated in third place. Ott was up to 6,220,000 and close to even with Lind (6,990,000) for the start of the heads-up final.
