One And Done For Justin Young On Brutal Beat
Dec 15, '18
We caught up with the action on a flop of K86. Justin Young had a 2,000 bet in front of him, and Jason Xu raised to 5,600.
Young, who had registered and sat down in this tournament just moments prior with a fresh 40,000 stack, opted to reraise to 10,000.
Xu moved in, and Young called off the rest of his chips, tabling 86 for bottom two pair. Xu held 97 for an open-ended straight draw and flush draw, making the two players an identical coin flip going into the turn and river, according to the Card Player Poker Odds Calculator.
The turn brought the 6, which gave Xu a flush, but also improved Young to a full house. Young was looking good to double up on his first hand of the tournament, but the 5 hit the river, giving his opponent an improbable straight flush.
“It was nice playing with you all,” said Young as he exited the tournament area.
Xu now has 142,000 in chips.

Justin Young Busts Kristen Bicknell
Jul 17, '17
With Kristen Bicknell suddenly seen in line to re-enter the tournament, we went looking for the details of her elimination hand. According to Justin Young, Kristen Bicknell raised to 400 from under-the-gun and he called immediately behind UTG+1.
Farzad Bonyadi came along in the big blind and the flop came down K-6-5. Bonyadi checked and Bicknell bet 600. Both Young and Bonyadi called and the turn was the 3, putting two diamonds on board.
Bonyadi checked, and Bicknell bet 2,500. Young called and Bonyadi folded. The river was the 10 and Bicknell moved all in for about 10,000.
Young called with pocket aces, and Bicknell could only show down A6, bluffing with a pair of sixes. Young scooped the pot and now has 57,000 in chips, while Bicknell is back in the tournament on her second bullet and is now seated next to Tony Cousineau at a new table.

Crazy Cooler Sends Young Packing
Jul 14, '13
We just spotted Salman Behbehani and Michael Benvenuti enjoy a vey well balanced meal, but that was not the thing that stood out. Benvenuti had taken Justin Young’s seat and Behbehani explained how he managed to cooler the life out of his former neighbor.
The player in the hijack raised to 1,000 and the button decided to call. Young called from the small blind and Behbehani followed suit from the big.
The flop brought out jack-ten-six with two diamonds and one club and all players checked.
On the turn the 10 hit and Behbehani bet 2,500 after Young had checked. The preflop raiser and the player on the button folded after which Young check-raised to 5,500.
Behbehani called.
On the river another six popped up and Young bet 8,000. Behbehani raised all in for 27,000 and he had Young covered by 2,000 chips. Young called with pocket jacks, for the nut full house, but he was up against Behbehani’s quad sixes. Young was knocked out and Behbehani is now sitting on 56,000 chips.
