Level 11 Update: Down to 9 TablesJun 08, '09 Level 11 Update: Blinds: 1300-2500 Players Remaining: 86 out of 179 Chip Counts: 1. Scott Clements — 136,000 Average Chip Count: 62,441 Notable Eliminations: Greg “FBT” Mueller, Linda Johnson, Sam Farha, Toto Leonidas, Michael Binger, Mike Sexton, Brett Richey Big Hands: Negreanu Eliminates Johnson on the River Linda Johnson raised from late position and Daniel Negreanu called from the big blind. The flop was 1073 and Negreanu led out for 2500. Johnson opted to raise to 5000 and was called by Negreanu. The 7 fell on the turn and Linda Johnson got all in for three bets. Negreanu turned up the A1065, but was dominated by the A A 2 5 for Johnson. That is, of course, until the 10 fell on the river and sent Johnson to the rail. Clements Takes a Small Step Backwards Scott Clements raised from early position and gets called by the button and both blinds. They took a four-way flop of K3J. The small blind checked, the big blind bet 2500, and was raised to 5000 by Clements. The button and small blind got out of the way and the big blind made the call. The turn was the 10 and the river was the 8 and both players checked it down. The big blind showed the J 10 4 3, good for two pair, and Clements mucks his hand and loses a small pot. Hennigan Gets Flushed on the River We pick up the action on a three-handed flop of A109. It is checked to Matt Glantz on the button who bet 2500, and was called by John Hennigan and another player. The turn is the K and now Hennigan leads out for 5000 and is called by both players. The river is the 2 and now Hennigan checks. The other player in the hand bets, Glantz gets out of the way and Hennigan makes the call. He is shown the 2344, which was a runner-runner flush. Left In The Deck: Even though the field is quickly thinning out, Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke are occupied with other plans. Hellmuth is telling Duke about how he can’t make an appearance because he will has already committed to going to London. Player Tags: Daniel Negreanu, John Hennigan, Linda Johnson, Scott Clements |

Jun 04, '08 | 2008 39th Annual World Series of Poker | Event 6 - Omaha High-Low Split 8 or Better | 2 | + | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Omaha High-Low Level 17Jun 04, '08 Blinds: 3,000-5,000 Players left: 27 of 833 Average chips: 92,000 Chip Leaders:
Eliminations:
Hands: Guzman survives over and over In a hand against two others, George Guzman goes all in without seeing his hole cards. When one of the other two players goes all with the board showing K-8-6-J, everyone's hand is turned up. Guzman finds out he has Q-Q-T-7 and needs an ace or nine on the river. Amazingly, the nine comes on the river, and Guzman triples up. Denny Marinack goes out in rough fashion Marinack was all in on a flop of A-6-5 and in good shape to catch at least the low pot, holding T-7-3-2. However the 2 came on the turn, giving his opponent a six-high straight and nut low with the 4-3 in his hand. As a result, Marinack was out in 29th place and took home $5,230. Allyn Shulman goes out On an A-K-K board, Allyn Shulman gets her remaining chips in the pot with K-J-9-6, and is up against an opponent who already has a full hosue with two aces. She didn't catch the one king left on the turn and river and was eliminated. Gregorich thriving late in level On two hands in the last orbit, Mark Gregorich has taken down pots with bets on the flop. He has over 160,000 chips as the field makes its way from three to two tables. Player Tags: Allyn Shulman, Linda Johnson, George Guzman Omaha High-Low Level 16Jun 04, '08 Blinds: 2,000-4,000 Players Remaining: 38 of 833 Average chip stack: 66,000 Chip Leaders: Jac Arama - 200,000 Eliminations: Allen Kessler Hands: Clements chips up with bluff After Scott Clements and his opponent both checked on a board of 3T4J, Clements bet out after the river came 2. His opponent spent two minutes thinking before ultimately folding. Clements showed Q752 for a pair of deuces and 7-5 to make a suspect low hand. The pot gave Clements over 75,000 chips. One triple up and one elimination in one hand Richard Ashby and an unkown player were all in preflop against Frank Kassela. Ashby held AQ43, the other player all in held AKQ2 and Kassela held A5TT. The board came 97Q4J, tripling up Ashby to roughly 30,000 chips. Linda Johnson surviving - barely Linda Johnson has been shortstacked throughout the level and at one point was all in against three players. The board came 85TK6. Linda flipped over over A3, which was good enough to take the low pot. Currently Johnson is at around 11,000 chips, just a little more than one big bet.
