Level 3 Update: Cantu on the RiseSep 23, '10 Blinds: 150-300 Players Remaining: 134 out of 137 (unofficial) Chip Counts: 1. Fabian Quoss 73,000 Average Chip Count: 30,000 Notable Eliminations: Michael Mizrachi Big Hands: Brandon Cantu Climbs the Ranks A player UTG limped and James Dempsey raised to 1,100. Brandon Cantu reraised to 3,200. UTG made the call and Dempsey mucked. The flop fell A84 and both players checked. They also checked the 4 on the turn. The river fell 3 and Cantu bet 5,000. His opponent made the call and Cantu flipped over two red kings. His opponent mucked and Cantu’s stack now sits amongst the chip leader at 60,000. Selbst Wild Ride The chip count of Vanessa Selbst has been all over the place today. Her starting stack of 30,000 was quickly sliced in half. Her stack was decimated heading into the first break with just 500. She then climbed to 8,000, dropped to 5,000 and has currently clawed her way back up to 12,000. Ferguson Scoops a Few Chris Ferguson has been quietly making moves all day. The pots have been small but every chip counts as players attempt to make it to day 2. Not long before break he took some chips from Pascal Lefrancois. With a nice little pot building preflop, the play slowed down after the J 10 8 flop with both players checking. They also checked the A turn but Ferguson placed two 1,000 chips out in front of him as soon as the 8 came down on the river. Lefrancois thought for a moment and then folded. Ferguson raked another small but healthy pot in. Missing Mizzi The field is one more pro down as we head into the next break. After numerous confrontations throughout the day Sorel Mizzi made his final stand against his day 1A nemesis. Mizzi made it 2,100 from the cut-off and the player in under the gun +1 position made it 5,100. After some time in the tank, Mizzi shipped the rest of his chips in and with a snap-call from his (Scandinavian-looking) opponent, the two revealed their cards. Mizzi’s A-Q was racing against his opponent’s A-K and the board fell 7-5-2-K-Q just to add insult to injury. Left In The Deck: High Roller Heads-Up Report — Still Four Left The £10,350 heads-up high roller event is down to the final four players today after a nice-sized field of 103 players entered the prestigious event. There is £288,409 and a gold bracelet up for grabs for first place and the runner up will take home £178,211. The two players that will be eliminated in the semi-finals today will take home £96,212 each. The final four players and their semi-final matches currently look like this: Gus Hansen (1.62 million) vs. Andrew Feldman (300,000) The semi-finals have been playing for a while now and after those matches are settled the final two will return for a best-of-three match to decide who walks away with the bracelet. Hansen and Vaswani currently have the upper hand, we will see if they can close things out and create a very exciting final matchup. Here is a quick rundown of the results for this event so far: 5: Daniel Negreanu — £47,045 Player Tags: Chris Ferguson, Brandon Cantu, Vanessa Selbst, Sorel Mizzi |

The river was the J and both players checked. Kostritsyn showed QJ and his opponent showed a complete bluff when he tabled the 7-6. Nguyen Scores a Double Up It was a battle of the blinds when the player in the small blind raised and Scotty Nguyen put in a three-bet from the big blind.
