Jason Kim has amassed a stack of about 185,000 after a big hand in which he eliminated an opponent.
The player under the gun raised to 7,000 and Kim three-bet to 20,000 from the hijack seat. UTG called and the two saw the KJ2 fall on the flop. UTG bet 25,000 and Kim raised all-in. UTG called and showed KQ. Kim showed AA and his hand held as the board ran out 54.

Jason Kim Catches Running Eights to Double

The flop read 334 when we came upon Jason Kim and an opponent engaged in the hand. Kim moved all in against his opponent for right around 30,000 and his opponent instantly moved forward a call.

Kim’s ace-eight was trailing his opponents pocket queens, and he needed help on the subsequent streets in order to stay alive. The dealer burned and produced the 8 on the turn, pairing Kim but keeping him behind in the hand. The table erupted as the 8 completed the board, giving Kim eights full of treys for the double.

The big blind folded and we had another final table showdown.
Kim turned over 55 but ran into Manukyan’s 1010.
The board ran 69626 and Manukyan chipped up to 3.3 million.
Kim on the other hand became our 6th place finisher and earned $4,140.

Double Doubles

There were a pair of doubles on table two.
First Huy Pham doubled to 1.2 million through Massoud Eskandari. Pham had KK and got it all-in against Eskandari’s AK.
The board was devoid of any aces and Pham doubled while Eskandari’s stack shrunk to 3.3 million. It was still good enough for the lead though.
A few hands later, John Hulett doubled through Jason Kim.
Kim had KQ while Hulett had 1010.
The board ran A10677 and Hulett doubled to about 50,000 while Kim’s stack shrunk to about 400,000.
