Big Hands:
Juanda Pads Stack, Forrest Draws Hoodie Tighter
After Ted Forrest limped one off the cutoff seat, Juanda raised from the button. The big blind and the button both called. Forrest then check-called Juanda on a flop of A93, and again when the A came off on the turn. But when the board paired again--the 3 on the river--Forrest finally relinquished the pot. That hand got Juanda going in the right direction after a steady decline the last two rounds. He's now up to 65,000, while Forrest, clad in gray WSOP hoodie, is still healthy with about 85,000.
Libson Still Breathing
Brad Libson got a good river to eliminate one player and double up to about 20,000. All in with A K 8 7 against A Q 10 4 and K K 4 3, a flop of Q 8 3 appeared devasating for Libson, but the J on the turn, 10 on the river gave him the miracle straight.
Players are now on a twenty minute break.
