Shortly after returning from dinner break Roy "The Boy" Brindley was eliminated in 12th place ($33,943). Andy Bloch was not far behind, taking 11th place ($33,943) as David Chiu took his chips. With Bloch's elimination the remaining ten converged on table 56 to play until one more was busted. Steve Sung, Marco Traniello and Steve Ladowsky were the short stacks, while Tommy Ly, Robert Mizrachi and Patrik Antonius were on the other end of the spectrum.

Steve Sung bet the pot under the gun and Steve Ladowsky raised all-in. Patrik Antonius re-bet the pot, and put Sung in a tough situation. Sung called for a payout sheet, and found out that if he and Ladowsky were both eliminated that he would take 9th place because he started the hand with more chips.
