Jacobo Fernandez of Hollywood, Florida, has a silent but deadly game. Rarely ever saying a word at a table, Fernandez's results speak volumes about his game. He has navigated his way through numerous large-field tournaments to accumulate an impressive record of major tournament cashes.
At the 2007 World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic, he made the televised final table and finished in third for more than $607,000.
In 2008, Fernandez cashed at the World Series of Poker seven times, including a second-place finish in a $1,500 buy-in pot-limit hold'em event, and a third-place finish in the $1,500 pot-limit Omaha rebuy event. Fernandez was awarded the first Card Player WSOP Player of the Year award for his efforts at the 2008 WSOP.
