The action was folded to Cheong who made it 10,000. Hamnet folded and Lyndaker moved all in for around 35,000 chips. Cheong made the call. Lyndaker had queens and was up against Cheong’s ace-king. The flop brought a king for Cheong who’s up to around 90,000 chips.

Eliminations: Jonathan Jaffe Hands: Gus Hansen Eliminates Tom Dwan, Play Ends for the Evening Although he was short on numerous occasions in the match, Gus Hansen came back to finish off Tom Dwan. The final hand saw Hansen raise to 220,000 from the button, and Dwan shoved. Hansen called with the K 9 and was ahead of the Q 10 of Dwan. Hansen paired his nine on the flop and that was good enough to hold and eliminate Dwan. Kunimaro Kojo Eliminated Kunimaro Kojo and David Paredes saw a flop of K 9 2, and Kojo checked. Paredes bet 50,000, Kojo raised to 125,000. Paredes shoved, putting his opponent all in for 388,000, and Kojo called. Paredes tabled the K 7 and was good against the 9 6 of Kojo. The board bricked out for Kojo and he was gone. Steve Billirakis Eliminated Matt Marafioti raised to 48,000 on the button, and Billirakis moved all in. Marafioti called with the A J and was racing against the 8 8 of his opponent. The board brought the wheel for Marafioti and Billiarkis was gone. Mikhail Smirnov Eliminated With just about 30,000 left Mikhail Smirnov got all in preflop against Nikolay Evdakov with the Q 8, and was ahead of the J 9 of his opponent. However, the board brought four clubs, giving Evdakov a flush and the elimination. Jake Cody Moves On Jonathan Jaffe had all his money in the middle and turned over K Q and Jake Cody exposed pocket jacks. The board ran out 7 6 3 5 6, and Cody was the first player to advance to the round of 8. Daniel Negreanu — 895,000 Notable Eliminations: Big Hands: Mosseri Doubles With Set On a board of K105A10 Abe Mosseri moved all in for 181,000 and Richard Lyndaker took his time thinking his decision over. After the clock was called Lindaker made the call and Mosseri showed 1010 for a river set. Lyndaker mucked and was crippled. Mosseri suddenly found himself with 495,000 in chips. Somerville Makes Big Call Jason Somerville made sure he’d stay toward the top of the leaderboard when he made great call against Randy Dorfman. On a board of 29A35 Dorfman fired 135,000 and Somerville tanked. After some time spent talking it over Somerville made the call and Dorman admitted “Good call.” Somerville showed A10 for top pair and took the pot down, adding to his large stack. Rousso Doubles Up Vanessa Rousso checked a flop of 752 and Randy Dorman bet 19,000. Jason Somerville was next to act and he raised enough to put ROusso all in. Dorfman folded but Rousso called for her tournament life. Their hands: Rousso: Q7 Rousso held the better kicker and the 5 turn and 8 river gave her the pot to double up to 225,000. Somerville had around 514,000 after the hand. River Floats Ivey Out of Event Phil Ivey got all in preflop with his tournament on the line against Bryn Kenney. Their hands: Ivey: KK Ivey was well ahead on the flop of 854, but when the 5 came on the turn Kenney had a lot more outs. He didn’t hit a flush on the river, but the A landed and it was good enough to give him a better pair and eliminate Ivey from the tournament. The Eighth All-In of Heads Up On the 187th hand of heads up play, Joe Commisso got 3.6 million in chips all in with A8 and it held against Richard Lyndaker's J10 to double him up to over 7 million and criplled Lyndaker down to 800,000 or so.
On the very next hand, Lyndaker was all in with Q7 against Commisso's A8. The worst hand won once again when the board came 107449 doubling Lyndaker to 1.6 million.
A short while later, Lyndaker was all in again for his last 1.2 million with K4 against Commisso's A10. Of course, the board ran out KJ3610 to give Lyndaker the pot and a double up to 2.5 million.
On the next hand, Lyndaker pushed his QJ against Commisso's A3. Sure enough, more misery for Commisso when the board came KJ3610.

The flop came J92 and Ochana checked. Commisso bet 160,000 and Ochana called. The turn was the 5 and Ochana then led out for 280,000. Commisso thought it over and made the call. The river was the 5 pairing the board and Ochana bet 500,000. Commisso called and was relieved to see that his J7 was good enough to take the pot. After the hand, Ochana was left with under 1,000,000 and Commisso was bumped up to 4.8 million.
Edward Ochana raised to 125,000 and Richard Lyndaker called in the big blind. The flop came 832 and both players checked. The turn was the 9 and Ochana bet 130,000. . Lyndaker raised to 310,000 and Ochana called. The river was the 10 and Lyndaker put Ochana all in. Ochana thought it over and called off his remaining 520,000, showing Q-10 for top pair. Lyndaker revealed his J7 for a rivered straight and Ochana was eliminated in third place.

Despite avoiding the fast and furious eliminations of the first 30 hands, Joe Commisso was playing a solid and patient game, picking his spots and chipping up relatively confrontation free. After the second level of the day, he held the lead with nearly 3.6 million.

Lyndaker showed his A4, but it failed to hold up when the turn and river came KK giving Ochana a Broadway straight and doubling him up to 1.3 million. Lyndaker took a hit down to 1.9 million.
Davidi Kitai raised to 102,000 and Richard Lyndaker reraised to 240,000. Kitai moved all in and Lyndaker instantly made the call. Kitai showed pocket tens, but Lyndaker held pocket kings and a stranglehold on the hand. The board came AA32A and Kitai was eliminated in sixth place, ending his hopes for a repeat bracelet.

Lyndaker moved all in and Lutz instantly called with AA, but Lyndaker showed his 99 for a flopped set. The turn and river came 42 and Lutz was eliminated in fifth place.
