Erick Lindgren Wins A "PLO" HandJul 20, '16 With a flop of 1097 Erick Lindgren got all-in against an opponent who held the QJ for a fliush and straight draw. Lindgren had the 1010 for top set. The K on the turn gave his opponent the straight, but the 9 paired the board to give Lindgren tens full and the huge pot. Lindgren chipped up to 630,000 after the hand while his opponent was sent to the rail. “We just played PLO for a hand there,” said Lindgren, referring to the sick matchup of set versus draw that is more commonly encountered in that game. Lindgren showed AQ for aces full, which gave him the pot and the chip lead as we get down near 80 players. Lindgren leads the pack with 520,000, but the three other big stacks in the field belong to Adrian Mateos (465,000), Tommy Chen (430,000), and Joe Elpayaa (410,000). Erick Lindgren Eliminated By Marko NeumannJul 13, '13 We didn’t catch how the action went, but Erick Lindgren was all in and called holding A K on a flop of 8 4 2. Marko Neumann made the call with pocket nines and they held as the turn and river fell 10 Q. Lindgren was eliminated and Neumann chipped up to 55,000. Player Tags: Erick Lindgren, Marko Neumann Lindgren's Ready To GambleJul 13, '13 Erick Lindgren just raised to 6000 from the hijack and Govert Metaal three-bet to 1,600 from his immediate left. Martin Hanowski folded his button after which Richard Tatalovich called from the small blind. The action was now back on Lindgren who put in a four-bet to 6,500. Metaal folded his cards and Tatalovich tanked for a bit. “How much are you playing behind?” “11,600,” Lindgren responded. After a while Tatalovich said he was thinking about making it 5,500 himself when Metaal had put in a three-bet. “Come on man, I’m looking to gamble,” Lindgren said with a smile as the players at the table started laughing. Lindgren is sitting on 22,000 while Metaal still has 40,000 chips. Tatalovich has 22,00 left. Player Tags: Erick Lindgren, Richard Tatalovich Little, Metaal and Lindgren Show UpJul 13, '13 An interesting table is forming right in front of our desk with top pros Govert Metaal and Erick Lindgren. Tom McCormick was also seated here, but he was knocked out already in the early goings. Lindgren made a big splash this year with a second place in the WPT Championship for $650,275 and a WSOP bracelet win in the $5,000 6-max for $603,317. Lindgren is having his first million dollar tournament year since 2008 when he won his first bracelet. Lindgren’s troubled financial status was widely publicized earlier this year, but his recent result seem to have steered him into the right direction. The Card Player Poker Tour Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza III could make the number 21 on the all-time money list’s summer even sweeter than it already is. Govert Metaal notched up three cashes this summer, but he’s still looking for a big score. A 28th place in the $3,000 No Limit Hold’em Mixed Max event was his best result, but that’s not something the Dutch pro will satisfy. Metaal made back to back PCA High Roller final tables in 2011 and 2012 and won two EPT side events in the previous seasons. As of right now Metaal has $1.2 million in live tournament earnings and that puts him 11th on the Dutch all-time money list. Jonathan Little has had a good summer in Las Vegas and he’s also trying to add some more to it. Little finished third in the $5,000 6-max, the tournament Lindgren managed to win, for $283,833. In total Little has $5.2 in career earnings, the lion share of that coming from two WPT victories in 2007 and 2008 for a combined $2.1 million. Player Tags: Erick Lindgren, Jonathan Little, Govert Metaal Allyn Jaffrey Shulman Eliminates Erick LindgrenJul 15, '13 Allyn Jaffrey Shulman raised to 11,000 from the cutoff and Erick Lindgren moved all in from the small blind for about 34,000 in chips. Shulman snap called, showing A A. “I almost just folded,” said Lindgren as he turned over Q Q. The board rolled out 6 4 4 7 5 and Lindgren was eliminated. Shulman now has 165,000 in chips. Player Tags: Allyn Shulman, Erick Lindgren Erick Lindgren Doubles UpJul 15, '13 Erick Lindgren was all in for his last 16,900 with K K and called by Terry Fleischer’s K J. The board rolled out safely, falling 5 4 3 9 9, and Lindgren doubled up to just over 35,000 in chips. Player Tags: Erick Lindgren Another One For LindgrenJul 15, '13 Erick Lindgren raised to 2,500 and Taka Ogura three-bet to 6,100. Lindgren made the call and the flop rolled out K68. Lindgren check-called 5,700 and the turn brought the 4. This time Lindgren took the unconventional approach and lead out for 9,000. Ogura tanked for a while but eventually he folded his cards. Lindgren is now sitting on around 160,000 while Ogura has 64,000 left. Player Tags: Erick Lindgren |
