The final board read Q32A8, and Becker doubled up to survive with 83,000 after collecting the pot. Affleck was at 42,000 after the hand.

Matt Affleck raised to 1,500 preflop from the hijack, and the big blind called to come along for a flop dealt J93. The big blind then bet 800, Affleck raised, and the big blind called before the turn fell 10.

The big blind bet 6,200, and Affleck called before the river delivered the 9. Both players checked, the big blind showed A6, but Affleck topped him with J10 scoring two-pair. Affleck held 44,100 after the hand, and Rodgers was at 30,000.

Lex Veldhuis raised to 800 and three people called. Sam Farha made it 4,000. Veldhuis just called. Two folds and one call later the flop came 6-5-3. Farha bets 5,000, and Veldhuis called. The button shoved for 20,000, and Farha called. Veldhuis raised 15,000 more and Farha folded. Veldhuis was up against pocket fours and managed to dodge the outs to build his stack to 85,000.

Annette Obrestad off to Good Start

On a flop of J 9 3 flop, Annette Obrestad bet 1,000 after her opponent checked, and he called. The 3 came on the turn it was once again checked to Obrestad. She bet 2,100 and was called again. The 4 landed on the river, and Obrestad’s opponent bet 6,500. Obrestad called and was shown the K 3. However, she was good with her 8 6 for a flush and was up to 45,000 after the hand.

Matt Affleck Starting off on Wrong Foot

Chris Bjorin checked and Matt Affleck bet 1,200 on a flop of 8 8 4. Bjorin check-raised to 2,500, and Affleck called. The 8 fell on the turn. Bjorin bet 2,500 and Affleck called. That bet was called and it was again checked to Elezra after a 4 fell on the river. Elezra bet 5,100 and was check-raised to 10,400. Elezra called and was shown J-10. He mucked and was down to 85,000 after the hand.

Matt Affleck Wins Some and Loses Some

There was 8,000 in the pot and the board read 8 5 3 7 3 when Matt Affleck bet 5,000 from the small blind. His opponent went into the tank on the cutoff but eventually mucked.

A few hands later Affleck was on the other side. The flop read 5 4 2 and there was 1,750 in the pot when Affleck bet 900 from middle position. UTG+1 made the call and the turn fell 3. Affleck bet 1,800 after his opponent checked. UTG+1 made the call and the river fell J. Both players checked and Affleck mucked after his opponent flipped over pocket kings. A Peculiar Board

The board read A A A A 6 when two players flipped over their cards on the river. One player held pocket jacks but the other held K-9 for the nuts and he won the hand.

Carter Phillips Picks up Chips

There was 3,000 in the pot and the board read 9 8 4 8 2 when Carter Phillips bet 2,225 UTG+1. A player behind him in middle position went into the tank for a minute or two, but eventually mucked giving Phillips the pot.
