Roberto Romanello RobbedFeb 19, '09 On a 1042 flop Roberto Romanello bets 25,000. Andreas Hoivold shoves his large stack out in front and Romanello goes into the tank. He thinks for at least five minutes. "Will you show if I pass?" he says. Hoivold simply shrugs. "Yes or no? I don't mind, just say" says Romanello, but Hoivold keeps shrugging. Eventually Romanello flips over his cards Q10 and awaits to see if Hoivold shows. Hoivold taps the table and nods, and a tournament director comes over. The dealer tells him that Romanello hasn't said anything yet... so there is a moment there where Romanello could have still called. He says despondently, "No, I folded." Hoivold flips over the Q and then shows the 8. Romanello can't believe his eyes as Hoivold's supporters laugh and he rakes in his new chips. Romanello's stack is around the 50,000 mark.
