With a flop of 7  4 2 , Jared Jaffee checked and Shannon Shorr bet 5,100. Jaffee made a remark about the large size of the bet and called.
The turn was the 2 and Jaffee checked. Shorr went all-in and Jaffee quickly called for around 19,000 with 7 7 for sevens full. Shorr held J9 and was drawing dead.
The river was the 6. Jaffee, who was involved in table talk with Shorr throughout our time at the table during the hand, remarked, “That was the easiest hand of poker I’ve ever played.”
He chipped up to over 56,000 after the hand, while Shorr was left with 8,000.

There was a chopped pot where both players held pocket kings, and the board changed nothing. Take a deep breath before you read this next series of events: Nipun Java doubled through Khoa Nguyen, and then Nguyen got some back after doubling through Jared Jaffee.
Jaffee was on deck to double up after that, and he scored one double at the expense of Mark Koeln, and then Nguyen scored another double.
Jaffee then got another double up through Nguyen, and then Jaffee got a third double during the level when his K-Q held up against the pocket jacks of Koeln when a queen hit on the flop.
That is certainly something you don’t see everyday with two tables playing five-handed on the final table bubble of a tournament.

 Currently in ninth place, Player of the Year contender Jared Jaffee was hoping to pick up some much-needed points during this tournament. Unfortunately, he’ll have to wait for the next opportunity to catch current leader Tom Marchese, who just happens to still be in contention here.
Jaffee lost most of his chips on a bad beat when he called a short stacks button shove with K-J only to see his opponent’s J-4 outdraw him on the river. After that, Jaffee moved in his last 23,000 from under the gun with pocket nines and was looked up by A-10 offsuit. He failed to win that race and now his day is over.
