Mario Ho With The OverfullDec 09, '17 With a board of 101055 Jeff Soffer bet 8,000. Maria Ho made the call and the river brought the 5. Soffer checked and Ho bet 25,000. Soffer quickly called, only to muck when Ho showed the 106 for tens full of fives. Ho now sits with just over 400,000. Player Tags: Maria Ho Maria Ho Coolers Chris MoormanDec 09, '17 We didn’t catch all the action, but saw 9,000 sitting out in front of Maria Ho on the button and 27,000 in front of Chris Moorman in the small blind. Ho opted to move all-in, and Moorman immediately called with AK. Ho showed him the bad news, however, with KK. The board fell 76546 and Ho doubled up to about 165,000. Moorman was left with just 13,000 in chips. Player Tags: Maria Ho Maria Ho Eliminated In 22nd Place ($7,106)Dec 10, '17 Maria Ho raised to 75,000 on the button, leaving herself with just one single 5,000 chip behind. Ankush Mandavia thought it over for a bit in the small blind before shoving all-in over the top, causing a fold from Owen Savir in the big blind. Ho was slightly annoyed by the all-in, hesitating before throwing in her final chip. She explained that her hand was only barely good enough to shove with 10 big blinds. “I have a bad hand,” responded Mandavia, which prompted a laugh from the table. “Why did you do that Ankush?” asked Maria, smiling as she placed her final chip in the pot and turning over 109. Mandavia showed A6 meaning Ho’s cards were live, but all of the drama immediately came to an end with a flop of AAA. The inconsequential turn and river were the 7 and 8, and Ho graciously made her exit to the payout desk. Mandavia now has 290,000 in chips. Player Tags: Maria Ho, Ankush Mandavia |

A recent hand saw Maria Ho bet 500 from the hijack on a 8 6 2 flop. Isaac Baron made the call from the cutoff and the 7 fell on the turn. Ho checked, Baron bet 2,200, and after some thought Ho mucked. Ramdin vs. Rosen Again Joe Bartholdi (cutoff), Jamie Rosen (small blind), and Victor Ramdin (big blind) all bought a 600-chip ticket to see a flop of K Q 2. They all checked and the turn fell 5. Ramdin bet 1,200 and Bartholdi mucked. Rosen made the call and the river fell 7. Ramdin bet 2,500 and Rosen made a reluctant call. He quickly mucked when Ramdin flipped over K 4 to win the hand. Saul Grabs Some Quick Chips Four players checked a limped flop of 10 9 9 and the 4 followed on the turn. Kevin Saul then opened the action for 500 from the small blind and Steve Sung mucked from the big blind. UTG made the call and the button mucked. The river brought the 9 and Saul fired out another 600. His opponent mucked and Saul added a couple thousand to his stack. He is still fighting to get back to a starting stack after a slow start. Jason Senti Chips Up There was a flop that read A 7 5 when Jason Senti bet 1,225 from the cutoff. The small blind made the call, leaving himself 9,000 behind, and then both players checked the 4 on the turn. The 3 fell on the river. The small blind checked and Senti fired out 2,100. The small blind hemmed and hawed for a few moments and tossed in the chips for a call. Senti flipped over 4 3 for the “Ugly two pair,” as he put it and grew his stack above where he started today with 30,000. Here are a few of the early pots: Maria Ho limped under the gun and Isaac Baron raised to 400 UTG+1. Faraz Jaka reraised to 1,200 and Ho reraised again to 3,300. The flop fell K 7 6 and Ho fired out 2,600. Jaka went into the tank and reraised to 5,900. Ho thought for a moment bu decided to muck. In the next battle between Ho and Jaka, the board read K 10 7 when Ho bet 400 from the cutoff and Jaka made the call from the big blind. The 5 fell on the turn and Ho bet 525. Jaka thought for a quick moment but decided to muck. Three players paid a 200 price of admission preflop and then checked down the 10 10 9 Q 5 board before Maria Ho bet 450 UTG+1. The small blind made the call and Jose Barbero mucked on the big blind. Ho flipped over Q J, which was good enough to make the small blind muck. Medic vs. Rousso There was 2,350 in the pot and a flop of 9 7 4 sitting on the table when the cutoff bet 2,000. Nenad Medic made the call under the gun and Vanessa Rousso then raised to 6,000 UTG+1. The cutoff mucked and Medic made the call after spending some time in the tank. The turn fell Q and Medic moved all in for 10,875. Rousso took her turn thinking things over with a little over 20,000 behind and eventually decided to muck. Daniel Negreanu Makes a Big Laydown Daniel Negreanu bet 1,000 from the small blind and the cutoff made the call. The flop fell 10 5 4 and Negreanu bet 1,200. Luke Vrabel Doubles Up Bobby Suer There was 10,000 in the pot and a flop that read Q 7 5 when Luke Vrabel checked on the big blind and Bobby Suer bet the pot from the button. Vrabel spent some time in the tank and he eventually raised all in for 45,600. Suer then spent a little time in the tank and decided to call. Their cards: Suer: Q J Turn and River: 4 and 10 Vrabel was knocked down to 62,000 and Suer doubled up to 110,000. Mario Ho Takes a Fatal Hit A player in middle position raised to 8,000 preflop and Mario Ho reraised all in from the hi-jack. Gavin Smith then called all in for 35,600 from the button and everyone else got out of the way. Their cards: Ho: A Q Board: 9 7 3 6 5 Smith doubled up and Ho was left with just 8,000 after the hand. Jared Jaffee — 640,000 Average Chip Count: 81,212 Notable Eliminations: Tyler Kenney Big Hands: The Maria Ho Show On the last hand before the break, Maria Ho was all in holding A-Q on a A-J-4 flop, but unfortunately for her, Alex Melnikow had A-4. The turn and river fell K 9 and Ho was eliminated. Or was she? It turns out, she was called back to the room when it was discovered that she still had 300 in chips remaining. Back from break, Ho was all in for the ante and won when her 7-5 outflopped Gavin Smith’s A-10. That got her to 2,700 in chips, which were all in on the next hand when her pocket aces held up against two players ace-rags. After folding a few hands, Ho was all in from under the gun holding K4 against the big blinds K2. The turn gave her the nut flush and all of a sudden she was up past the 23,000 mark. An orbit later, Ho shoved for her last 17,100 from under the gun and was called by Chad Batista in the small blind. Ho’s AJ outflopped Batista’s pocket sixes and she doubled up to nearly 40,000. She still has a lot of work to do, but she’s come a long way from having just one ante. Jimmy Fricke Exits We didn’t see the action, but according to Jimmy Fricke’s twitter page, he wasn’t able to outdraw Vladimir Shchemelev in an all in situation. Apparently Fricke’s pocket queens ran into pocket aces. David Sklansky Doubles Up Barry Greenstein raised to 6,100 from the hijack and Noah Schwartz called on the button. David Sklansky then moved all in for 35,100 in the big blind and Schwartz was the only caller. Schwartz showed AJ, but he was dominated by Sklansky’s AK. The board rolled out 975QK and Sklansky doubled up to 85,000. Schwartz still has 185,000. Poker Tweets: Left In The Deck: Gavin Smith Having Some Fun With Jeff Madsen Gavin Smith is having a lot of fun after doubling up twice in this level at the expense of Jeff Madsen. After Madsen was forced to give up a small pot to another opponent, Smith reached over and knocked down his entire fortress of chips. To add insult to injury, Smith then called the floor over to complain that Madsen wasn’t stacking his chips. The floor reminded Madsen that he needs to keep his chips orderly and the table laughed some more.
