Good news for poker in spain
Unlike the repressive and monopolistic regimes in the United States, France, and Germany, the government in Madrid has decided that regulating and licensing online gaming companies is the best course of action.

Following the progressive UK and Italian models for online regulation, the Spanish government will offer five-year licenses to offshore gaming sites, which are expected to flood into the increasingly affluent country. After the initial terms, the licenses will be renewable if the Spanish regulator's conditions are met. Strict regulation to prevent gaming by those underage will also be enacted by the Spanish government.

By some estimations, the Spanish online gambling market is expected to grow to €4.2 billion, whereas the overall gambling market could grow to €39 billion by that same time. spade
