This summer, while the sharks feed in the pro-infested waters of Las Vegas, the Bicycle Hotel & Casino in Los Angeles will keep the action going with the first of two stops on the Card Player Poker Tour. Despite the poker world’s focus on the desert, the Bike is going big by putting up $565,000 in guarantees for the five-event series.

The series kicks off July 1 with a $60/$90/$115 quantum reload no-limit hold’em tournament with a $40,000 guarantee. The schedule continues with a $130 no-limit hold’em survivor tournament later that day.

During July 2-6, the casino will host starting flights for a $100,000 guaranteed no-limit hold’em event with a buy-in of just $150. Players who survive day 1 will combine for day 2 on July 7.

Players can also buy-in directly to day 2 for $1,100. Also on July 7, there will be a $100 no-limit hold’em deepstack tournament with a $25,000 guarantee.

The highlight of the tournament line-up is the $245 buy-in quantum reload main event with a $400,000 guarantee. There are starting flights scheduled for July 8-12, with players receiving 20,000 in starting chips.

Players can also buy-in before the start of day 2 and receive 130,000 in chips, as long as they put up the bigger $1,750 buy-in. On July 12, the Bike will host a $200 mega satellite, guaranteeing five $1,750 seats into day 2, which is July 13.

In 2016, Koveh Waysei defeated a field of 1,333 players to earn the top prize of $45,000. Tournament organizers are expecting an even bigger turnout this summer.

“I know what the players want,” said Bicycle Casino Tournament Director Mo Fathipour, pioneer of the quantum reload tournament format. “I’m a player too. I know and can appreciate what today’s players want and expect from a tournament. With quantum tournaments, we offer low buy-ins, with big money guarantees.”

This is the first of two CPPT stops at the Bike this year, with the second scheduled for October. Always known as one of the leaders in the industry when it comes to poker tournaments, the Bike prides itself on being creative and offering the best structured events.

Soon coming, a VIP poker room with a huge bar for the players – just like Bellagio has Bobby’s Room and Aria has Ivey’s Room, the Bicycle Casino is going to have its own room for the biggest games around.

The Bicycle Hotel & Casino recently unveiled a $50 million hotel expansion to the property. The 117,907 square-foot addition boasts 99 rooms, including 29 suites, as well as a multitude of amenities including the all-new Bike Brewery, full spa and elevated outdoor pool deck with private cabanas.

“This is a hotel for everyone,” says Bicycle Hotel & Casino CEO Hashem Minaiy. “Even if you aren’t a card player, there are plenty of reasons to stay here and come back. We have the best, most friendly staff in the industry. They are original thinkers who will bend over backwards to serve our customers. I really encourage all people to come and see for themselves what the Bicycle Hotel & Casino is all about. I have no doubt that our staff will prove me right and deliver every time.”

The 29 luxury suites range from the Classic Suite (648 sq. ft.), the signature Bike Suite (904 sq. ft.), the Governor’s Suite (1,359 sq. ft.) and a Presidential Suite (2,007 sq. ft.). The Presidential Suite has two bedrooms, a formal living room and a Jacuzzi tub.

A floor design of overlapping circles, inspired by a bicycle wheel, winds its way to a variety of amenities, including dining, a coffee house, a gift shop, entry to the casino concourse and an Asia-themed VIP gaming area.

The second floor is home to a state-of-the-art fitness center, the outdoor pool deck and the hotel spa and sauna. There is also 8,000 square-feet of multi-purpose event and private meeting space. The 28-screen Bike Brewery has 28 beers on tap, including two private labels exclusive to the Bicycle Hotel & Casino in the James Blonde Ale and the Golden Hand Hefeweizen.
