Check out his interview with Diego Cordovez and Adam Schoenfeld on Card Player TV, and you can hear Oppenheim candidly talk about the biggest downswing of his career. He dives into what it was like to take a near $2 million loss in a game he thought he could beat.
In addition, he talks about the influence his poker-playing parents had on his life.
“I think if my parents didn’t have poker in their life, there’s a good chance I would have done something else,” Oppenheim said.
The episode also contains more praise for one of Oppenheim’s friends — Phil Ivey. Oppenheim explains what makes Ivey so good at dealing with the downswings.
