Leon Bui Wins Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Grand Final

Bui Crowned Final GUKPT Main Event Champion of 2010

Leon BuiLeon Bui was crowned the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Grand Final main event champion after topping a field of 207 including his heads-up opponent Nicolas Irving for the first prize of £144,905 plus a seat in the Champion of Champions tournament.

When the final two went heads up, Bui held 3.4 million and Nicolas Irving held 1.8 million. After a bit of back and forth, the final hand came, Irving with J-9 and Bui with 2-2. The deuces were enough to take it and Bui received the Grand Final trophy. Irving received £98,325 for finishing second.

The £2,500 + £125 Grand Final took place at the Grosvenor Victoria Casino in London and was the last GUKPT main event of the year. However, Bui will face other GUKPT champions in a special invite-only freeroll event this weekend in Coventry.

The Grand Final also concluded the points leader board, with the £20,000 first prize going to the top spot, David Johnson.
