Grosvenor Casinos were pleased to announce another record-breaking turnout at the 2016 Goliath main event in Coventry in early August. The tournament drew an incredible 5,232 entries, which was over 1,000 entries more than they had in 2015.
In total, 3,168 players put up the £120 buy-in and there were 2,064 rebuys, creating a prize pool of £523,200 which more than doubled the £250,000 guarantee. In the end, the title went to Vamshi Vandanapu, who picked up £62,750 after a deal was made during three-handed play. Robbie Richmond and Cristian Popescu each earned £50,000 for finishing in second and third place.
