The 2010 World Series of Poker Circuit Northeast Regional Champion is none other than poker veteran Chris Bell from Raleigh, North Carolina. Bell outlasted a top-notch final table that included Micah Raskin, Todd Terry, Nick Mitchell, Andy Frankenberger and his eventual heads-up opponent, Chris Klodnicki.
It was a long and grueling final table with seven hours elapsing before the first player busted out. In the end, it was the two chip leaders who were left to battle it out for the title and the first place prize of $358,295.
It took a bit of a cooler, but the chips eventually went in the middle with Bell’s set of threes outlasting Klodnicki’s top pair and open-ended straight draw. Klodnicki was fighting for an unprecedented back-to-back victory, but ultimately fell just short.
The win was Bell’s second major of the year after earning his first gold bracelet in event no. 46 of this summer’s WSOP. His lifetime winnings now total over $2.5 million.
Here’s a look at the final results.
1. Chris Bell — $358,295
2. Chris Klodnicki — $221,452
3. Ketan Pandya — $159,851

5. Todd Terry — $87,808
6. Andy Frankenberger — $66,758

Nick Mitchell Eliminated in Eighth Place ($40,538)
Nick Mitchell raised from under the gun and was called by Micah Raskin in the small blind. The flop came down 1062 and Raskin led for 50,000.
Mitchell called and the turn was the 3. Raskin bet 100,000 and Mitchell called. The river was the J and Raskin checked. Mitchell then moved all in for about 150,000 and Raskin instantly called with 102 for flopped two pair. Bell stood over his cards for a bit before announcing he was all in for an additional 395,000, which made Frankenberger instantly muck his hand. The action went back to Klodnicki and he went into the tank for about a minute before mucking.
Burt showed A8, but he was in obvious bad shape against Bell’s QQ. The board fell 76642 and Burt was eliminated in seventh place.
Andy Frankenberger Eliminated in Sixth Place ($66,758)
On a flop of A54, Andy Frankenberger bet 75,000 and Chris Klodnicki raised to 150,000. Frankenberger then moved all in and Klodnicki instantly called with AK.

Todd Terry Eliminated in Fifth Place ($87,808)
Todd Terry moved all in for his last 126,000 and Chris Klodnicki reraised to 210,000 to isolate.
Everyone else folded and Terry showed Q3, which was at least drawing live against Klodnicki’s A8. The board rolled out A8492 and Terry was eliminated in fifth place.
Micah Raskin Eliminated in Fourth Place ($117,457)
Chris Klodnicki raised to 45,000 on the button and Micah Raskin moved all in from the big blind. Klodnicki instantly called with 66 and was racing against Raskin’s K10.

Ketan Pandya raised to 55,000 on the button and Chris Klodnicki reraised to 175,000 from the small blind.
Chris Bell then announced he was all in and the action went back to Pandya for a decision on his tournament life. Pandya agonized for several minutes before deciding to call with his 1010, but he looked worse after seeing Bell’s QQ.
The board fell 9844Q and Bell’s hand held to send Pandya packing in third place.
Chris Klodnicki Eliminated in Second Place ($221,452), Chris Bell Wins 2010 Northeast Regional Championship ($358,295)
Chris Bell raised to 75,000 on the button and Chris Klodnicki reraised to 225,000. Bell called and the flop came down 653.

The turn and river fell 9Q and Bell won the massive pot, but the room stayed silent. Most were under the impression that Klodnicki had him covered, but a long, drawn out count of each player’s stack confirmed that Bell had enough chips to call it a tournament then and there. With no rebate coming his way, Klodnicki was officially eliminated in second place.
