It’s been a black week for a handful of poker players dotted around the globe as the long arm of the law has crept up on them.
In Thailand Ron “Mad Yank” Fanelli was formally declared sane by psychatirsts and move from hospital back to Phuket prison having confessed to the murder of a bar hostess last year.
Fanelli, 37 from the U.S. but latterly based in the UK, has admitted to stabbing Khun Wanpen but claimed it was a ‘horrible horrible accident” according to Phuketwan.com.
Elsewhere in Israel a 28 year-old man in Netanya has been charged with murder over a poker debt on November 11 last year.
Meir Krafit is alleged to have shot Yossi Turjeman with a nine millimeter handgun in the victim’s own home over an accumulated poker debt.
Last week British poker player Marcus Bebb Jones was lost his appeal against extradition to the U.S. over the alleged murder of his wife in the late 1990s.
