Viktor “Isildur1” Blom won the latest round in his SuperStar Showdown at PokerStars.com taking $150,000 from Rui “PepperoniF” Cao yesterday.
The match, a mix of $50/$100 no-limit hold’em and $50/$100 pot-limit Omaha, was scheduled to last 2,500 hands but only got to 2,257 before Cao was bust.
So far Blom is 6-2 up this series of events, including two victories against online qualifiers.
The SuperStar Showdown is a series of high stakes, heads-up matches playered in a single session of 2,500 hands over four tables of no limit jold’em and pot limit Omaha at $50/$100 or higher.
The aim of the Showdown is to find a winner who will either bust his player or show a profit over the 2,500 hands.
