The two were what remained from an original field of 27 and after Coren won her match with Dori Yacoub and Weisner won hers with EPT London victor Mark Teltscher, it was may the best player win.

In the end it swung Coren’s way and she takes home €58,000, which is indeed even more good news for the British pro to celebrate following the announcement of her engagement to David Mitchell. American one-to-watch Weisner earned €39,250 for a fantastic effort.

After her win, Coren said, “I’m really happy and excited to have won this event. Just like when I won the big EPT tournament in London a few years ago, I’m not even thinking about the money yet – I’m just really pleased to come first in a tournament full of such brilliant professional players. My competitive streak is very satisfied! But don’t get me wrong, that kind of money will buy a LOT of delicious cups of tea…"

The heads-up event is just one of 37 events taking place at the prestigious Grand Final in Monte Carlo.
