CardPlayer.com and FullTiltPoker.com recently joined forces with poker aficionados from New York State to raise money to help fight Multiple Sclerosis. TJ's Restaurant in Port Chester, New York, graciously played host to the third annual Turek No-Limit Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament, helping to raise $25,000 for the noble cause.
Everyone had fun, but the big winner was John Sias, who took home a $10,000 World Poker Tour tournament seat donated by local resident and professional poker player Andy Bloch. Chuck Petruccione finished second, taking home a seat at the WPT Boot Camp.
Organized by Jason Daloia, the event continued its tradition of raising money for MS research, helping to increase the event's three-year donation total to over $67,000. Started in hopes of doing something special for his mother-in-law who suffers from MS, Daloia sees a bright future for the event. "It will be a tradition in the family for a long time to come," said Daloia.
