Kevin Williams has won Nottingham Live II, a $200 + £20 buy in event held by Black Belt Poker at Dusk Till Dawn at the weekend.
The $75,000 guarantee wasn’t met and the 258 player who participated enjoyed a $23,400 overlay, among them Marty Smyth, Neil Channing, Richard Ashby, Paul Jackson, and James Keys.
However it was Williams who outlasted them all to take down the $15,000 top prize ahead of runner up Jack Sambrook.
“The inhabitants of my trophy cabinet have been a little lonely of late,” said Williams after his victory, “so I’m glad they’ve finally got a new friend. I was disappointed at how tough the final table was, but now I can laugh at everyone who used up their one time in the Euro Millions lottery.”
