PartyPoker has announced the names of the first eight players who have secured a spot in the sixth edition of its popular Premier League event.
The $125,000 buy in made-for-TV poker event runs from March 17 to March 23 and will feature Phil Hellmuth, Scott Seiver, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Laak, Antonio Esfandiari, Tony G, Dan Cates, and Luke Schwartz.
A further eight players will be announced in the coming weeks.
The event takes place at Aspers Casino, Stratford, London. Two groups of eight players compete to earn points worth $2,000 in league mateches with the top three from each group proceeding to the final table.
In 2012 the event was won by Scott Seiver who walked away with $500,000.
