Poker Revenue Up 11 Percent At BetssonOnline Poker Revenue At Swedish-Quoted Gaming Operator Shows Strong Growth In First Quarter Of 2013 |

Betsson, the publicly-quoted online gaming operator, saw poker revenue grow 11 percent in the first quarter of 2013 to SEK30.6 million (€3.56 million) from SEK27.5 million (€3.2 million) a year earlier.
However this amount was three percent lower than the final quarter of 2012 when it was SEK31.6 million.
Poker makes up 5.7 percent of Betsson’s overall revenue. The company joined the Microgaming network in November 2012 and saw growth of 39 percent last year.
Over the company, which is dominated by casino and sportsbook, saw revenue up 19 percent in the first three months of 2013 to SEK638.7 (€74.2 million) from SEK536.1 million (€62.3 million) in the first quarter of 2012.
Magnus Silfverberg, President and CEO of Betsson, said, “Betsson continues to prepare for the re-regulations by investing in marketing and in more cost effective operations. Due to previous investments in among other things mobile solutions, we have seen organic growth in both B2B gross profit of 16 percent and in Sportsbook turnover of 26 percent.
“Meanwhile, the company has full focus on increasing the growth in Casino, for instance through further mobile development. Altogether, Betsson sees good growth opportunities both in the short and long-term and plans to maintain its position as one of the world’s most influential gaming operators.”
