A 39-year-old Newark man carjacked a couple of vehicles from the Golden Nugget Atlantic City on Sunday, police said.
According to Press of Atlantic City, Rahim Adams has been accused of carjacking twice within a five-hour time span, and the second time resulted in his arrest.
Detectives reportedly were investigating the first carjacking when they got a call about another one.
It turned out to be the same suspect, police said.
Police added that Rahim ran away when he saw the detectives and a foot chase ensued.
The suspect allegedly was carrying a black handgun.
One of the cars had, for some reason, been burned, the report said.
Rahim was charged with two counts each of carjacking, armed robbery and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. His bail was set at $250,000.
