The World Heads-Up Championship will make its debut Tuesday, Feb. 6, at the Crystal Casino in Los Angeles featuring poker super-stars such as Daniel Negreanu, Joe Hachem and Jennifer Harman. Sixty-four of poker's elite will battle it out in a bracket style one-on-one tournament.
This $10,000 buy-in features a $640,000 prize pool, with $215,000 and year long bragging rights going to first place. The tournament is hosted by "Live at the Bike."
The action kicks off with a live pairing party on Feb. 5, at Yosh's Sushi Bar in the Bicycle Casino. Players will be divided into four brackets and will advance with each subsequent win against a randomly drawn opponent. The matches will begin at 2 p.m. each day from Tuesday, Feb. 6, to Thursday, Feb. 8, with the quarterfinals and championship matches taking place on Thursday.
Other celebrities and poker pros will include Patrik Antonius, Antonio Esfandiari, Mike Mizrachi, Gabe Kaplan, Cyndy Violette, Erick Lindgren, Dave "Devilfish" Ulliott, Phil Ivey, Annie Duke, John Phan, Huck Seed, Yosh Nakano, Gavin Smith, JJ Liu, Jerry Buss and Joe Sebok.
Fans can see this action live and in person, or from the comfort of their own home. Each match will be streamed live via the internet at liveatthebike.com, starting at 2 p.m. from Feb. 6-8.
