Nipun Java defeated a field of 951 entrants to win the 2017 World Series of Poker $1,000 online no-limit hold’em, capturing his second bracelet of the summer and the $237,688 first-place prize. Java won his first WSOP title in early June when he and Aditya Sushant emerged victorious in the $1,000 tag team no-limit hold’em event, becoming the first ever Indian-born bracelet winners.

Java, a software engineer turned poker pro, joined David Bach as the only double bracelet winners of the summer. The WSOP has seen an incredible 17-year streak of at least one player achieving this feat. Bach won his second and third career bracelets in the $1,500 dealers choice and the $10,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, respectively.

Nippun JavaJava plays under the screen name “Javatinii” on WSOP.com. He was able up some big hands in key spots at the final table of this event, beginning with a huge preflop cooler that saw him send Sean ‘Hurricane27’ Legendre to the rail in seventh place ($29,415). Legendre ran his pocket kings into Java’s pocket aces and failed to draw out.

Java survived to four-handed play as the short stack, and from that juncture he began to take control. He scored a big double up through chip leader Jason ‘jadedjason’ James when his A-9 outran his opponent’s pocket jacks, overtaking the lead. He then extended that advantage by eliminating Evan ‘YUDUUUUUUUUU’ Jarvis in fourth place ($73,911). James busted Richard ‘jklolz’ Tuhrin in third place ($103,326) to draw essentially even with Java going into heads-up play.

James got out to a quick lead, but Java doubled through him to turn the tables. In the end James putt his last chips in with a combo draw up against Java’s two pair and failed to improve. James earned $146,202 for his deep run.

Here is a look at the payouts awarded at this final table:
