Nevada casinos won $909 million from gamblers in November, according to figures released late last week by gaming regulators.
The revenue was off 2.3 percent compared to gaming win in November 2016. Slot win of $626.7 million this past November was up 3.5 percent year-over-year, but the table games and sports books collectively generated just $282.3 million, down 13.1 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
Baseball was the culprit for the books winning 48.7 percent less ($9.8 million) than they did in November 2016. Nearly every table game saw year-over-year declines. Blackjack revenue of $84.1 million was down 12.2 percent; baccarat win of $64.9 million was down 23.5 percent; and roulette revenue of $32.9 million was off two percent.
The state’s poker rooms took in more this past November than they did the previous year. The 62 rooms raked $8.9 million, up 0.4 percent.
The more than 300 casinos statewide won $988.7 million from gamblers in October, virtually flat year-over-year. The mass shooting on the Las Vegas Strip occurred the first weekend of that month and slowed tourism to the gambling hub in the following weeks. Strip casinos won about six percent less year-over-year in both October and November.
