The second and final starting day of the 2018 Card Player Poker Tour Live! Casino & Hotel $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event has come to a close, and with 303 entries already made and registration still open until the start of day 2 (at 12:15 PM ET), the $200,000 guarantee has already been comfortably surpassed by over $100,000.
Saturday, Jan. 13 saw 188 entries made on day 1B, with only 50 players bagging up chips at the end of the night. The overall chip leader heading into day 2 is day 1B’s Chase Bianchi with 334,700. The next highest stack is day 1A chip leader Ben Foster, who ended with 334,200. Other top stacks include James Cornblatt (317,300), Vital Benbenishty (300,600), Nitis Udornpim (300,300) and Jeffery Chang (294,400).
There are a number of highly accomplished poker pros still in with a shot at the title. Maryland’s own Christian Harder bagged up 85,300. The Annapolis, MD resident has $4,315,685 in career cashes, including having won the 2017 PokerStars Championship Bahamas main event last January. Another successful tournament player still in with a shot is Roland Israelashvili, who has $2,998,150 in lifetime live earnings. Israelashvili heads into day 2 with 220,200.
Action will resume at 12:15 PM on Sunday, Jan. 14 for day 2. As mentioned earlier, late registration will remain open until the resumption of play. Day 2 will continue until the next CPPT main event champion is decided.
