Registration for the 2018 World Poker Tour L.A. Poker Classic $10,000 no-limit hold’em main event at the Commerce Casino officially closed on Sunday, Feb. 25. The event attracted a total of 493 entries, building a prize pool of $4,681,035. The top 62 finishers will make the money, with a min-cash being worth $16,640. Of course, all of the 102 players who survived to day 3 will have their eyes on the title and the first-place prize of $1,000,000.

Heading into day 3 Kimbo Ung is the chip leader with 379,400. A few notable players ended day 2 with top stacks, including Chance Kornuth (374,400), 2018 Aussie Millions main event champion Toby Lewis (315,300), Jean Gaspard (298,000) and 2017 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic champion Ryan Tosoc (254,200).
The tournament is scheduled to conclude on Thursday, March 1. The eventual champion will join a prestigious list of previous winners that includes Antonio Esfandiari, Chris Moorman, Michael Mizrachi, Anthony Zinno, Gus Hansen, Alan Goehring, Dietrich Fast, and Phil Ivey.
