Global Poker put SC$1.25 million in guarantees on their Rattlesnake Open, a 135-event series that kicked off last weekend. But if the turnouts from the early events on the schedule are any indication, the series may end up paying out twice as much to the Global Poker community.
The Rattesnake Open started with the generous $5,000 freeroll, open to anyone with a Global Poker account. A total of 3,132 players entered the tournament, and in the end, the title went to St. Louis, Missouri resident ‘floptkwods,’ who defeated ‘chadman7il’ heads-up for the title.
Of course, ‘floptkwods’ and every event winner will not only receive their first-place prize, but also a ridiculously oversized trophy and Global Poker swag.
This Sunday, Global Poker is kicking it up with a SC$50,000 guarantee. Players can buy-in directly for SC$218 or qualify with satellites for just SC$0.55. The tournament starts at 3:30 p.m. EST.
