The Card Player Poker Tour is returning to Ocean’s 11 Casino in beautiful Oceanside, California for the eighth time to bring you another running of the San Diego Classic, a $250 buy-in main event that features six starting flights spread out over three days (Jan. 24-26). The tournament has a $150,000 estimated prize pool, but the past two most recent runnings of this tournament each surpassed $220,000 in prize money.
Players can enter any one of the six starting flight for $250 and re-enter while registration is open. This event also allows players another unique option: they can take advantage of the Quantum Tournament structure of this event and buy in for $1,500 on Sunday, Jan. 27 for day 2 and receive 100,000 in tournament chips. Players can also pay a $30 optional staff add-on and receive an additional 20,000 in chips. A single day 2 re-entry will be available to players up until the end of the second level that day.
As previously mentioned, this will be the eighth time the CPPT has partnered with Ocean’s 11 for this event. In April of 2016 Robert DeAgazio took home $23,813 for topping a field of 778 entries. In January of 2017, Barry Knowlton pocketed $17,157 after he overcame a field of 582.
