After a record-breaking haul in October that saw the state bring in $1.06 billion in gambling revenue, Nevada casinos followed it up with another strong showing, bringing in $967.2 million in November. This represents a 6.4 percent increase year-over-year, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB).
The Las Vegas Strip accounted for $534.5 million of the gambling revenue, up 10 percent.
The big winner for the casinos was baccarat, which saw win jump 51 percent to $97.8 million. Blackjack games brought in $87.6 million, up 4 percent, while slot revenue held steady with $635 million, up 1 percent.
Sports betting was up about 10 percent, but more importantly for the casinos, the win tripled to $27.1 million. Compare that to New Jersey, which brought in $21.4 million in November sportsbook win, and has been operating for just a few months.
Overall, Nevada gaming revenue is up nearly 3 percent so far in 2018, according to data from the NGCB, totaling $10.9 billion. This comes despite the fact that 2018 has seen the number of total visitors to Las Vegas decline slightly from 2017.
