CAD$250,000 Guaranteed Event Features Two Startling Flights

The $1,100 CAD buy-in, $250,000 CAD guaranteed Card Player Poker Tour main event gets underway at the Playground Poker World Cup of Cards with the first of two starting flights on Feb. 4. Those who make it through to day 2 will return on Feb. 6 to play down to a champion.

The event will wrap up an exciting few weeks at the Playground Poker Club, Canada’s premier poker destination, conveniently located just minutes south of downtown Montreal in the Mohawk territory of Kahnawake. Built ‘For Players By Players’, Playground Poker Club offers unmatched cash game action 24/7 plus a great weekly tournament schedule.

The 2019 WCC kicked off with the return of the $220 CAD partypoker LIVE Grand Prix Canada. The $500,000 CAD guaranteed event featured five online starting flights and 12 live starting flights from Jan. 23-27. Other marquee events on the schedule included the $220 CAD partypoker LIVE Grand Prix Canada $500,000 CAD guaranteed no-limit hold’em event, and the $1,650 CAD WPTDeepStacks $750,000 CAD guaranteed no-limit hold’em event.

In 2017, the WCC CPPT main event was a $1,650 no-limit hold’em tournament. It drew a field of 191 entries, with Quebec’s Luc Bellerive emerging victorious with the title and the $98,000 CAD top prize.
