Phil Hellmuth is already the all-time World Series of Poker bracelet leader, with his 15 victories at the series being five more than any other player in poker history. On Thursday, Oct. 7, Hellmuth will have a chance to extend that advantage, as just four players stand between him and his record-furthering sixteenth bracelet.

Hellmuth is among the final five in the 2021 WSOP $10,000 Omaha eight-or-better championship. Bracelet winner Ari Engel is the chip leader, while Hellmuth will return to the short stack when play resumes at 4:00 p.m. at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino. His 390,000 represents just 6.5 big bets at the current limit of 30,000-60,000.

The final table action is set to be streamed on PokerGO, the exclusive live broadcast provider of the WSOP for 2021. Card Player fans can get a special discount on a PokerGO.com subscription. Just use the code CARDPLAYER, and you’ll get $20 off an annual plan.

The penultimate day of this event began with 18 players remaining. Plenty of big names made deep runs to day 3 only to fall short of the final table, including bracelet winner and World Poker Tour champion Alan Sternberg (16th – $17,500), four-time bracelet winner Brian Rast (15th – $18,750), three-time bracelet winner Paul Volpe (14th – $18,750), bracelet winner Ken Aldridge (13th – $20,000), WSPT champion Dylan Linde (12th – $20,000), two-time bracelet winner Chris Vitch (10th – $24,358), and four-time bracelet winner Robert Mizrachi (7th – $47,987).

Play concluded for the night when George Wolff’s straight and 8-6-5-4-2 low lost out to the nut flush and 7-5-4-2-A low of Ari Engel, who scooped the pot to extend his already sizable lead heading into five-handed play. Wolff earned $61,877 as the sixth-place finisher.

Here is a look at the chip counts for the final five players:
