A total of 48 gold bracelets have already been awarded at the 2023 World Series of Poker, with 41 live and seven online events having wrapped up already at the 54th annual WSOP. So far, more than $128.6 million in prize money has been awarded. Below is a look at the most recent winners decided at the series.
2023 WSOP $1,500 Big 0
The 2023 WSOP $1,500 ‘Big O’ tournament was the first of its kind at the series. The five-card pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better tournament drew an impressive inaugural turnout of 1,458 entries, building a prize pool of $1,946,430.
The largest chunk of that money was eventually captured by Scott Abrams, who scooped the final pot of the tournament with a flush and the nut low to secure his first gold bracelet and $315,203. He now has more than $1.6 million in recorded tournament earnings, with nearly all of that coming from cashes at the WSOP. His largest score was the $590,442 he earned for a 12th-place finish in the 2012 WSOP main event.
Notables that joined Abrams in making it deep in this event included ten-time bracelet winner Johnny Chan (14th), bracelet winner Owais Ahmed (6th), World Poker Tour champion Victor Ramdin (4th), and bracelet winner Robert Williamson III (2nd).

2023 WSOP $800 Eight-Max No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack
The $800 no-limit hold’em deepstack event was a fast-paced affair that lasted just two days. In that span, a record turnout for this event was narrowed from 3,773 entries down to one champion: Qiang Xu.
The Chinese player earned a career-best payday of $339,377 for the win, along with his first WSOP gold bracelet. This was Xu’s first six-figure live tournament score.
Other big names that ran deep included Mid-States Poker Tour Michigan champion Kou Vang (33rd), bracelet winner and WPT champion Pat Lyons (13th), 2021 WSOP main event champion Koray Aldemir (12th), and Jared Greiner (11th).

2023 WSOP Online $500 No-Limit Hold’em Turbo
Sunday, June 18 saw two WSOP Online bracelet events go off on WSOP.com for players located in Nevada and New Jersey. The first was a $500 buy-in no-limit hold’em turbo event. It attracted 1,879 total entries, creating an $845,550 prize pool.
It took just over six hours for Harley ‘suited_h13’ Brooks to emerge victorious with the title and the top prize $134,527. This was the Reno resident’s first bracelet win. In fact, it was his first-ever cash in a bracelet event.
A number of accomplished players made it to the business end of this turbo, including two-time bracelet winner Yuri Dzivielevski (16th), European Poker Tour champion and bracelet winner Dimitar Danchev (11th), bracelet winner Jesse Lonis (10th), bracelet winner Jonathan Dokler (8th), WSOPC ring winner Adam Demersseman (6th).

2023 WSOP Online $500 Pot-Limit Omaha Eight-Max
The second online event lasted a bit longer, clocking in at a bit over 10 hours. The $500 pot-limit Omaha six-max event saw a total of 608 entries posted by the time that registration was closed, resulting in a $504,900 prize pool.
Joe ‘jimjam01’ Serock came out on top in the end, earning $93,911 and his first gold bracelet. The World Poker Tour season X Player of the Year award winner now has more than $5.2 million in recorded tournament earnings, with more than $1.9 million of that coming from 90 in-the-money finishes at the WSOP.
Recent online bracelet winner Ian Matakis (17th), Conrad Simpson (14th), bracelet winner Michael Holtz (11th), 2020 WSOP main event domestic tournament champion Joseph Hebert (10th), two-time bracelet winner Robert Cowen (7th), and bracelet winner Steve Gross (4th) were among the many notables that made deep runs in this event.
