Blake Bohn Wins Record Fifth Mid-States Poker Tour TitleMinnesota Native Bests 557 Entries In The $1,100 MSPT Ameristar East Chicago Main Event To Earn $113,146 |

Blake Bohn now stands alone as the all-time titles leader on the Mid-States Poker Tour. Bohn was tied for the most MSPT wins with Dan Bekavac, with both players having four victories on tour. In the early morning hours of Oct. 30, Bohn emerged victorious from a field of 557 entries in the 2023 MSPT Ameristar East Chicago $1,100 no-limit hold’em main event with his record-setting fifth win and the top prize of $113,146.
“It’s pretty emotional, honestly. I work so much harder at this than people think, to do it with my wife and friends present was a goal of mine," Bohn told MSPT reporters after coming out on top. "When me and Kat come to play, watch out, because we are trouble and I’ll take my skill set over the rest”.
Bohn now has nearly $4.1 million in career tournament earnings to his name after this win, with more than $943,000 of that coming from in-the-money finishes in MSPT events.
The first of Bohn’s five titles on the tour came back in 2014, when he took down the MSPT Sioux Falls main event for $54,607. Less than a year latter he came out on top at the MSPT Meskwaki main event for another $101,229.
Bohn’s third victory took place in his home state of Minnesota, with him besting a field of 456 entries in the MSPT Canterbury Park main event for $94,776. His fourth also came in Minnesota, with him outlasting 1,015 entries in the MSPT Running Aces main event for $181,864.
This most recent victory saw Bohn take home 840 Card Player Player of the Year points as the champion. This was his fourth title and eighth final-table finish of the year, with $520,898 in to-date POY earnings accrued along the way. His 4,012 total POY points put him in 29th place on the 2023 POY leaderboard presented by Global Poker.
