Max Hoffman Crowned PokerGO Mixed Series ChampionAlex Livingston And Walter Chambers Take Down Final Two Events |

After cashing in half of the events offered, Max Hoffman was crowned as the third ever champion of the PokerGO Mixed Games Series. The Massachusetts native racked up $376,300 in total prize money to fend off defending series champion Dan Zack to take the trophy and $10,000 leaderboard bonus.
Hoffman’s campaign started a week and a half ago with a fifth-place showing in the $5,000 8-Game event for $31,150. He then scored back-to-back runner-up finishes, earning $100,800 in the $10,000 Triple Stud Mix and $103,400 in the $10,000 Triple Draw Mix.
He cashed for a third day in a row in the $10,000 Dealer’s Choice, finishing sixth for another $28,200. But he saved the best for last, taking fourth in the $25,000 10-Game Championship for a career-best cash of $112,750.
Hoffman now has $580,000 in earnings, more than two-thirds of which has come at the Mixed Games Series. He also banked $56,000 for a fourth-place finish in the $10,000 8-Game event last October.
Despite taking fourth in the finale, Hoffman did have a bit of a sweat with three-time bracelet winner Dan Zack still in contention. The New Jersey native needed a runner-up finish or better to defend his 2023 title, but fell just short by busting in third place for $153,750.
This was Zack’s second cash of the series, having won the $10,000 8-Game mix earlier in the week for $195,200.
The 10-Game Championship would ultimately come down to WSOP main event third-place finisher Alex Livingston and bracelet winner Dylan Weisman. Weisman is no stranger to wins in the PokerGO studio, having already won a Mixed Games Series event in 2023 and the $25,000 pot-limit Omaha championship at the U.S. Poker Open back in 2022.
This year he already has two wins, banking $121,500 in the PGT Kickoff series and $240,300 in the PokerGO Cup. As a result, he has climbed to 20th place in the Card Player Player of the Year rankings with a total of 1,502 points. The California pro is up to $3.2 million in cashes.
This latest title, however, went to Livingston, who took the last of Weisman’s chips in a round of no-limit 2-7 single draw to top the field of 41. Livingston pocketed $324,465 for the win, the fourth biggest score of his career. The Canadian poker pro now has $8.5 million in career earnings.
Another previous event winner who cashed in the championship was WSOP main event runner up John Racener, who not only took down the $10,000 Triple Stud for $151,200, but also finished sixth in the $10,000 Big Bet Mix for $22,200 before adding $82,000 for fifth place in the Championship. Racener now has $11.8 million in earnings.
Walter Chambers didn’t have a win under his belt like Racener when he busted from the championship in sixth place for $61,500, but he did have an itch to keep playing. The Lousiana mixed-games specialist immediately hopped into the final event of the series, the $5,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw, and made good use of his last chance, beating 28 entries for the title and $63,000.
This was Chambers third consecutive cash in a row, having also finished fourth in the $10,000 Big Bet Mix for $40,700. Chambers is perhaps best known for winning the WSOP Circuit Championship back in 2005 for $787,340, but has been playing more lately, including a runner-up at the WSOP in the $3,000 9-Game event.
The PokerGO Tour continues later this March with the PLO Series, which runs from March 20-30 before the U.S. Poker Open begins in April.
