WATCH: Poker Player Finds Unlikely Hero FoldTexas Player Lays Down Top Set On Seemingly Safe Board |

After recently seeing a potential six-figure bad beat jackpot negated on the river, The Lodge card club in Texas was home to another crazy hand over the weekend that saw a truly brilliant fold.
The live streamed Poker at the Lodge featured blinds of $50-$100 with a $100 big blind ante. The hand in question saw a player named Yoochan pick up A A and raise to $1,000 from the button with about $53,000 in front of him. A player named Chris then called with 5 4 and $46,000 in chips, with “T” also calling with 7 6 and $18,700 in chips behind.
With the pot at $3,450, the three players saw a flop of A 8 2. After the other two players checked, Yoochan then bet $600 with his top set. Chris along to see another card with an inside straight draw to the wheel. At this point, Yoochan had an 82.5% chance to win the hand with Chris at just 17.5%, according to the Card Player Poker Odds Calculator.
The 7 then came on the turn, giving Chris a few more outs. He could now hit a straight with any trey or an six. But Yoochan still had a sizable edge to win the pot at almost 82%.
Chris checked and Yoochan thought a bit before betting $1,500. Chris eventually called and the river delivered the 3, giving Chris a very disguised wheel. Chris checked and Yoochan fired $4,800 into a pot of $6,850 with the second nuts. That brought an “all in” announcement from his opponent.
Yoochan faced a tough spot and would be forced to call off the majority of his remaining stack. While riffling his chips, he went deep into the tank. Putting his opponent on a straight with 5-4 seemed unlikely and there were plenty of worse value hands that may make this play.
Most players would probably call – but not Yoochan. This Texas player must have had quite a read on his opponent or some amazingly savvy instincts as he eventually sent his cards to the muck for a truly masterful fold.
Watch the hand below.
IS THIS THE SICKEST PLAY OF THE YEAR?!?!

The hand helped propel Chris to a profit of $42,775 for the night with Yoochan suffering a loss of $16,150. It could have been worse, though, if not for his brilliant laydown. Dylan Flashner was the night’s big winner, finishing up $201,050.
