Paul Bracken Wins GUKPT Blackpool

London-Irishman Takes Home £109,700 Plus Seat in Grosvenor UK Poker Tour Final from Blackpool

Paul Bracken won the 10th leg of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour at the G Casino in Blackpool, winning £109,700 in cash, a seat worth £3,000 to the GUKPT grand final in a fortnight's time in London, and £10,000 added by Blue Square.

More than 350 players entered the event, and the London-Irishman beat Leesider Paul Gardner heads up with a final hand of two pair versus top pair on the flop. There was no help for Gardner on the turn and river, and Bracken, a pro of four years who plays mainly cash games, took the top prize.

The Blackpool leg of the GUKPT was the 10th and final leg of the regular tour, with only the £3,000 grand final at the Victoria Casino, London, left to be played on Nov. 29, 2007.
